Ugh conflicted. I agree with everything you said but I also have a wicked soft spot for Jennifer Garner and have ever since Alias. I’ve been waiting for her to get back into movies. Well, movies I actually want to see not the family christian-y stuff she’s done recently. Don’t think this is it though.
Seeing as Eric is standing just behind him, I’d say that’s accurate. Though the actual height numbers may not be.
SAAAAME. Ugh I love plastic straws. I have a metal one and I hate it. Cold beverages were already a problem for my teeth and the metal straw makes is 100x worse.
He is, which is why he couldn’t impregnate the last Handmaid. But it has to be both. If Serena could bear children, they wouldn’t have to have a Handmaid at all. The whole reason for the Handmaids is because fertility has dropped so a lot of women can’t have kids. With this flashback though we know that Serena’s issue…
I’m not at all surprised that this meeting isn’t happening but holy shit THAT LETTER THO.
My feeling bad for her doesn’t outweigh the fact she’s a terrible person who did terrible things. But it does make her more human. People that are SO evil they have not one single thing you can empathize with are cartoonish and boring. I’d rather have the nuance.
And last, are we to understand that Serena was shot in the reproductive organs?
While Planned Parenthood does not provide the mammograms themselves, they do the pre-cancer screenings and refer patients to places that do. They also provide information on grants and local charities to cover the mammograms.
Here’s “Queen Hvrby,” who you might recognize as the woman from Karmin trying to rebrand herself for the instagram generation,
Hah, friends and I JUST had this discussion last week. I know plastic straws are horrible for the environment. I’ve seen the horrific video of the plastic straw being pulled from the sea turtle’s widdle nose hole with pliers. I know.
It should be easy to prove! We can just go through all the data from each mass shooting...OH WAIT.
All these have been really fun to read but also terrible for me. I do nothing for my face in terms of skin care and am really realizing I need to. I’m 34 and just had my second kid and my skin looks SO DULL. More than just from the exhaustion I think. Guh but there are so many choices I don’t even know how to start.…
I looked it up and you’re right!
Actually, FMLA does not require them taking any of your vacation or sick time BUT it also does not pay at all. Short term disability can sometimes be used. I missed the sign up for that at my job because they didn’t inform me at the first sign up period. Then by the second I was already pregnant. If I had qualified…
That’s really part of my thinking why they should just do the paid leave. It’s not like you’re going to be getting awesome work out of us, even with the best of intentions. So much better to take the time off and come back at the full 100%. (Or at least 75, since we’re still parents lol)
Hell, I’d be happy with the 3 months at this point.
This is all extremely accurate and this:
The end of this piece really nails it. The first few months are hard anyways but I doubt the industry would be so huge and so goddamn expensive if parents weren’t driven to extra desperation by having to both work so soon.
It was awesome because of how terrible it was. I watched it. Twice.
