YES! On insurance and 401ks and general budgeting and work benefits.

Luckily we are under my husband’s insurance plan becaue what his company offered was better than mine.

GUH. But at least you have the 8 weeks paid! My company is very sweet as far as not giving me any crap about how much time I want to take off HOWEVER they only do FMLA. So I can take the full 12 weeks with their blessing, no questions asks, but it is completely 100% unpaid. And Maine has no paid leave either.

Ugh the daycare thing. I haven’t even started worrying about that because right now I’m worried about paying for leave. THEN I will worry about paying for daycare, lol.

Hahaha oh no! Well I didn’t take things apart only because there wasn’t anything to really take apart. The swing might be in two pieces so I could wrap the seat in plastic but that’s it. Mini Pie’s crib transformed into a full size bed so she’s still it in, I’ll have to get a new one for this kiddo.

Definitely agree! When you go out of your way to engender the position it makes it sound like it’s something different. And when you’re doing a female gender for it, it sounds patronizing.

My feelings on the entire “SHE-E-O” thing. Yes, we need more female CEO’s for a variety of reasons. But don’t other them into this whole cutesy bullshit new thing. She is a CEO and deserves all the praise and scrutiny that comes from being a CEO of a successful business. And that’s it.

I don’t think it’s a staying in your own lane thing and I don’t have a problem with celebrities getting involved with politics. But there’s a right and a wrong way to do it. You don’t just get to jump into the game at the highest fucking level. Now, if Oprah announced that she wanted to get into politics to help…

I think someone like Oprah would do more good outside of politics than in it. She has a ton of celebrity and influence AND money. She doesn’t need politics to help people. And since she has no actual governing experience she could do worse for people as a politician than as a private citizen.
