This has bothered me for years. I lose interest in a work that has such forced conventions. This isn’t limited to the horror genre, it shows up in most works. I think some of it is audience-pandering. “Oh, I’m so clever, not like that dumb idiot”. That may stroke some people’s egos, but not mine.

It was post-Colombine shooting, if my memory serves, because I was really pissed when they announced the feature was cancelled. That was the major problem - not dick pics. God forbid you take pictures of your school teachers and turn them into simulants.... bwahaha.

Was Empire script done in 1978? Even so, I believe that line was altered to avoid spoilers, if I recall. He appears to have known it - perhaps verbally. It sure soured relations with Lucas.

Whoa there. Look up what happened to Prowse before Empire and his little slip about revealing Vader being his father. He got in a lot of trouble. It’s fairly well documented.
