@jonny6pak: I suppose the main reason for his assessment of truffle oil is the fact that most truffle oils are not made from actual truffles, they're more like truffle-flavored olive/grapeseed oils. Even IF actual oil of truffle is used, for the price being added, you won't notice.
@friendslikeJimRome: Likewise, which isn't much, considering I'm a private chef. I'll only order something that catches my eye as unique and that I think the cook is generally proud of. I rarely eat out though.
I've got 3 different email accounts: my main account is on Yahoo and my private account is on Gmail; my third is for anonymous reasons.
@HeartBurnKid: Agent of R.O.A.C.H.: I just run down to the chemlab supplier whenever I need citric acid. I use it a lot when I make drinks via rotary evaporator. It's the only way to go.
I used to install low-voltage lighting systems as a sort of "hobby job" for a few years. Maybe I can add a few tips.
VOTE: VLC
I write in a form of semicursive, and I still get people who say that it's the neatest handwriting you can't read.
@johnnyd4251: Not to mention most of the people who would have learned from this article, or others like it, would be too lazy to utilize it. They know they can do it, but they just don't feel like it.
@StruckBySmoothCriminal_GitEmSt...: Ahhh the pocket square! Now there's something most people do NOT know how to fold. It irks me to see people just shove it into their pockets as if that's how it's done. Very uncultured.
@appleturnover: I love busting out my bow-tie on occasion. Nowadays, if you can pull it off, it's both classy and unique.
@James P. Howard II: Also lacking sophistication: James P. Howard II
@jpgwrites: Agreed. Type in a book, and it just sends you other titles by the same author, as if you couldn't find them on your own.
@SoaringDisbelief: I wouldn't say "illegal." I believe the proper term is "frowned upon by the greedy."
@webmissy: I completely agree. It's not as if Hulu is insane-in-the-membrane awesome. The video quality is mediocre, even in its hi-def mode, the in-video commercials are extremely annoying (couldn't they have just placed ads on the site itself, and NOT during the friggin videos?), and its library of TV shows, both…
I like it. It's nice and clean. I have that exact same teapot as well; I like to watch the tea leaves unfurl.
@friendslikeJimRome: I have to admit though, I like how the crates match the wood floor.
@korybing: Exactly. I'm not sure where friendslikeJimRome lives, but where I live, those crates can easily be found free of charge, whether in someone's trash, or at a winery or alcohol store.
Wow, how unimpressive...and hideous to boot.
