I wouldn't say that they were just as safe as any of "dozens" of other vehicles at the time. I was already driving when they first came out and my brother owned a couple. Having looked at them close up and in person I cannot think of one single other vehicle that had as short a 'butt" on it and as little crash

Say what you want and what you say is true, but these are a hoot to drive and I still own 2 of them and love every minute of driving them.

Yep, my cousin owned a brown one pretty much identical to the one in the picture.

You are absolutely correct and the Maverick is another good choice, but it also suffers in the looks department, IMO more so than the Mustang II.

Good idea Travis, but how about a list of cars you have treated "unfairly" for us to peruse?

Ahh the "Crapi". Best thing about these is that they eventually came with V8 engines and shared platforms with the Fox Body Mustangs, Which made modding much easier and produced a fun to drive little car.

Agreed, not a great/safe "daily driver", but they were/are a hot rodder's/racer's delight, being small and light.

Every Mustang owner's whipping boy, the Mustang II.

I realize this is a really old article, but I'm curious as to whether or not this car is still in that area and if anyone knows who it belongs to and how I might contact them?

PHEW! That's scary right there, I don't care who you are!

The MOST important mod in any high horsepower car is the DRIVER MOD.

That they MIS-represented it to you is sad.

Stupid is as stupid does.

I was stunned by what he did and thinking the exact same thing?

No I don't want to be embarrassed at stoplights, even by one of those.

You could do it Raphael.

Cold tires, cold track = driving on a greased surface. :(

Did they call it the "Stink Ray" and does it have special olfactory attack powers?

Both of you, How big are your balls anyways?
