Had my motorcycle stolen about a month ago here in Austin. These guys remotely disabled my Google Floodlight Nest Cam, along with most of my neighbor’s cameras, so they were darn good at what they were doing. The police told me the motorcycle was probably never gonna be recovered. I had a Samsung Smart Tag tucked on

The local police were unwilling to perform a search

Good question, it hasn’t come up so far. I do usually have a set of keys from another car in the door pocket. They have an AirTag and I usually hear little beeps from them when I start moving, but I buried the second Tag where it won’t be heard. I only have my one iPhone with me when driving, so I just don’t know what

Good idea on having the two in there.

Just stake out 95 through PG County: it’ll be along soon enough riding on it’s backwheel and shutting down traffic for 5 miles. 😁 🏍️

I actually love the Pacer. I have one memory and it’s a good one.

Cheap new cars were replaced with expensive cars and mortgage-style financing.

Not a single recommendation for a CX-50, CRV, or cliche Rav4 Hybrid, even something like a CPO X3. But a Tuscon, Niro, or Sorento? Really? I mean, they aren’t bad cars but they certainly aren’t as good as the CRV or interesting as the CX-50.

I do the same thing at the urinal.

My takeaway is they should have called this thing the Prelude.

That caused a total Eclipse of the heart

Came here for a Prelude reference. Not disappointed.

Seriously, “The Honda Prologue is just the prelude for Honda EVs” was sitting right there....

Our household is currently on our 4th Bolt EV. We are not sure what to do when our current lease runs out in less than a year. I really see no realistic replacement for this car, and the Equinox is just going to be much larger.

I like the way you think, and would like to subscribe to your newsletter.

RE: Carlos Tavares / CEO Compensation

This was my fault. In high school and early college I mowed around 30 yards to help pay for college and rent. I had a small Toyota truck ( still own) and a tilt-back trailer that was used for my garden tractor. This was in rural TN and in the summer it was absolutely brutal out there. So I would get an early start,

Well, let’s see. Cash can be stolen and it’s gone forever. Debit and credit cards can be skimmed, and then it’s a pain in the ass to get everything reverse. Security flaws in payment systems are always mechanical. It’s always mechanical skimmers, or security passes (Target a few years ago). Modern phones on the other

I relate to this article exactly. I have only ever purchased manual cars, I own an automatic but it was a gift. I do it because I enjoy the connection, particularly in this more automated world.

I’ve told my 15-year-old daughter that there are two conditions she has to meet if she wants a car when she’s old enough to drive: a part-time job and a willingness to have a manual transmission. Both are character-building.
