That’s what I thought (or the Mossberg Mariner - with a shinier chrome finish than either model comes with). But why go to the trouble to relocate the ejection port to a nonsensical location? I suspect they do other things with the prop gun elsewhere in the movie - and the port was in the wrong place for what they

Not quite... Let’s ignore the “pump shotgun that shoots like a double barrel” comic-book style graphics for a moment: Curiously, the ejection port (which - by the way - doesn’t appear to be functional, either) lines up with the pump, not the barrel (yes, I paused the video just for this detail). I did some quick

An interesting Wankel conversion - but not one picture of it. Really? CP with an extra helping of “if you want to sell it, at least show it to me.”

My brother-in-law had one of these; it was stolen about 4 times before he just got tired of the hassle...

Sadly, the Excursion’s payload rating isn’t great (about 1500 to 1800 pounds, depending on options). Tragically, the weight of the diesel works against it (I believe diesel-equipped Excursions get the 1500-ish payload rating). I’ve heard of people upgrading the rear suspension on Excursion models (it’s noted for soft

10% is on the low side for tongue weight estimates. For stability, most sources range from 10% to 15%, and seem to like something around 12%.

Sad but true...

Which is my suspicion...

Anyone know what the payload capacity figure will be for this vehicle? I ended up with a Suburban 2500 because I ran out of payload capacity for my family - well before I ran out of tow capacity. I was looking for an SUV that could tow a family-friendly trailer and carry the family at the same time - and was

Particulary when full of gas. I suspect some other culprit.

Your comment yesterday is disturbingly prescient in light of today’s news of the Alton Sterling shooting:

“it was not clear whether the driver knew he was being followed by the undercover car.”

I like the idea - but a Macan is hardly a family-affordable vehicle.

“Creating products that are so good that our customers have no problems selling the old one when they want a new one.” Wait a minute: That sounds like an amazing business plan. Good for the new-sales dealer, used-sales dealer, parts department and service department. I will reward such a business, even if my budget

I know a few owners who did that: They kept the car just until finding out what the next service would cost - and sold it then. Which is why I’m very mistrustful of such bargains in the used market.

Two-row seating doesn’t cut it with 3 teenagers and a dog (and, when the kids were small, I needed 3 LATCH - Lower Anchors and Tethers for CHildren - positions). And sometimes the kids bring friends. The Touareg is interesting - but pricey when configured for families.

Only if they sell it. And they find a way to sell it at a competitive price, with competitive features (I’m looking at you, ‘92-’03 Eurovan).

True. My method: Buy used.

They have bikes - and use them. They’re not quite yet to the point of saving for a car; that will come soon enough (already planning on the timing of a neighbor’s car upgrade; their Subaru Legacy wagon 5-speed stick would be a good place for kids to start).

I’m pleased to hear your experience - but I’ll admit I hear different stories elsewhere, which has scared me away from BMW (well, that and the steep price of entry).
