Not just my take, many other have mentioned it, but just a few issues are less crisp image, no reflection for light to bounce off and instead it is just an always on light source, they are much easier to get dirty and become useless/blurry(think about your backup cam with just a little snow/salt/dirt covering it),

I suspect it’s more that they believe there will be a vigorous EV resale market, and they want to capture that rather than the car lessee buying it from them at a pre-determined price.

The worse infotainment systems are the ones that you can’t replace it with an aftermarket system and I am talking about those giant tablet like screens.

Any HU that also incorporates vehicle settings is just bad. Bad, bad, BAD! They are worse than the AM-only double-DIN that came in your early-70s car.

Not only a shirt, but also socks, underwear, and whatever pants/shorts/bottoms you can roll up into the smallest volume, so you’ll have one other set of clothes when the airline loses all of your checked luggage.

I had planned to suggest Elio Motors as the biggest automotive flop, but I put off introducing anything until it was too late.

I’d really like to know your thoughts on the direct comparison of the Hyundai/Kia siblings. Especially in terms of comfort, since I suspect performance is going to be roughly comparable. Also in terms of controls/usability, since so many electrics have decided controls are blasé.

The solution to this problem is for more people to ride motorcycles.

I’ve had neighbors with RVs and friends with RVs.   I’ll say this for them.  They weren’t as broke as the ones with boats.

You have no idea how much it pains me to sound anything like a “I’ll just wait a few years and pick one up used” guy, but this really does seem like a good future buying opportunity.

Thank you. There should really be a warning on this article about running a random script from an elevated PowerShell session. Running ANY software on ANY system as admin or root should have plenty of disclaimers about the potential dangers.

Squash plants aren’t as productive as some crops’

there’s also the mental health benefit. working in the garden is a great way to de-stress and get away from your screens.

Look, I know complaining about the slide shows is like beating a dead horse, but can you all at least make the photos the same size so the NEXT SLIDE button doesn’t move up and down?  Pretty please?

One common vein on almost all the answers: Discovery channel networks...

MotorWeek for TV, and Car Talk for radio when still on, were my car comfort entertainment shows for the longest time. Still watching the MW retro reviews, some of which I watched when not actually retro...

MotorWeek is great, very low key. In Detroit on the PBS station, it’s followed by Autoline, which is very inside baseball for the industry and if you’re into that, it’s fantastic. Can also be found online at autoline.tv

All I can say is at least we have MotorWeek. My dad introduced me to the show back in the 80's and I have been hooked ever since. I grew up about five minutes away from Maryland Public Television’s HQ (they were the station that has produced the show since it started in 1981) and every once and awhile we would see

All I remember about station wagons is that us kids got to play in the “playpen” in the back - we loved going for car rides. I’d play with my cheap matchbox knockoff cars, siblings would play Jack’s or maybe cards.
