“Never do anything until the original check clears”

I have (the nearly identical Costco-SKU version of) this monitor on my desk at work. It looks very nice and I can fit **all the code** on it.

No shame in budget grilling, but I’ve found that the “budget” grills just don’t last compared to something like a Weber. The shell on that grill is pretty thin sheet metal (judging by the pictures) - that’s probably going to rust through after a year and just isn’t going to hold the heat in when the weather gets

This is a very similar to the problem I have with their current model lineup. Yes, you can get to a reasonable recharge time, but you’ve got to figure out a way to haul 4 extra chargers ($600 ea), 3 Y-cables ($250 ea) and enough extension cords to reach a total of five 15A 110vac circuits.

For a propane grill, I’ll take the Weber Spirit E-310.

Unitarians are absolutely not “among Christian religions”.

As others have pointed out: open office floorplans are pretty brutal. However, “offices for all” ain’t gonna happen, snowflakes, so contain your griping and come to terms with being neighbors with somebody.

I’ll take partial overlap over complete obliteration if I have to make the choice.

I’m looking at going this route myself - the UniFi AC Mesh solutions look like a great way to put one <$100 device at each end of my house and get some pretty solid outdoors coverage at the same time.  Plus you get the advantages of a wired backhaul...

An easy and often-overlooked solution.  I used to live across the street from an apartment complex and I could see 50 routers all clustered on the same 3 channels.  Plenty of clear air to choose from in between those default configurations...

I’d love to try this one because I like the _feel_ of a mechanical key switch, but my wrists really like a split/tented negative-slope keyboard (I have MS Natural Ergonomic 4000 at the office).

Got one as a rental in Indianapolis a couple months back.  Absolute CRAP ride quality.  Complete garbage.  Thankfully the check-engine light came on within a half mile of leaving the Avis lot, so I got to trade for something that was NOT that car for the next day.

I’d say these are pretty good advice for low-hanging cleanup fruit. Kind of sad that most of them amount to “make a slightly abrasive paste and scrub with it” - I was hoping for better “hacks” than that. Tennis-ball-as-scrubbing-utensil is decent idea, though - the nap’s not going to wear down quickly, it’s a good

Last year’s birthday gift was new Lithium-ion batteries to replace the clapped-out NiCd ones for my set of Ryobi tools. I was a happy person.

You don’t have to look at the first 50-100' of road in front of you, either, so any really ugly children, recent-model Priuses, fat dudes on bicycles in your near vicinity will be mercifully hidden from your view.

Personal review after having one for the last 2 years: Well worth the $6 I paid for it.

No one involved there is making fun of the child. Everyone understands clearly that the poor 5 year old is not in control of the name on their birth certificate.

Agreed.  As a parent, I keep “plain old batteries” around for the majority of the kids toys where I don’t want to run the risk of having my very expensive Eneloops donated to Goodwill or something when they’ve outgrown the toy.

Wahl for the win.  I’ve had an older, non-color-coded one for the last 10ish years and it’s long long long since paid for itself.
