I’m a motorcyclist - I understand exactly what you’re saying. There’s no excuse for inattentiveness, but let’s at least try not to make the problem worse, eh?

Bigger print needed. “Headline 1” or whatever the Kinja equivalent is. Does Kinja do “blink” tags? Perhaps the no-lights/no-reflectors/black-hoodie-wearing/riding-against-the-flow-of-traffic dinguses on my drive home might see it.
Somewhere in this article I’d have loved to see “ride WITH the flow of traffic”.
Some repeats from others, but my best advice:
Most “real” motorcycle jackets have SOME level of back armor (it ain’t great, but it’s something); upgrading that to a CE-rated insert is usually easy and fairly inexpensive.
That looks really good. Losing the square wheel wells and putting some more proportionally-correct tires on it made ALL the difference. if GM could build THAT car today, it’d sell like hotcakes.
5:00pm – We cross into Wyoming! Hooray!
For parents: Diapers. Target’s Up&Up store brand (in big bulk packs) come in cheaper than anything else, anywhere, any quantity. That includes Sam’s Club and Costco, by the way.
I have many key groups and it’s nice to have a chain/dangle/thing on each one to make them easier to distinguish on the key hooks at home. I only grab whatever set is relevant to my day and the rest stay home, but that still means I have a total of 4-5 keys in my pocket. I’ll never trust an “all electronic” key/entry…
These things are GREAT. I’ve got two sets of them stashed in the luggage on my motorcycles for the last 7 years and they get used pretty frequently just in day-to-day stuff. It always seems like I’ve got the motorcycle on the days when my wife shoots me a text asking me to stop by CostCo on the way home from work.…
For $16 I can afford to take apart a couple of feet of 14/2 romex to get a nicely sculptable wire I can tape it to when I need a little more rigidity.

The focal depth and field-of-view on this probably makes it the wrong tool for that use. The sample images from the reviews show it’s pretty good within 1-4” and “okay, that’s probably NOT an elephant” after that point.

Happily enough I had JUST been looking at this product when the deals post came out. I have a couple of outlets in my new-to-me house that I have a need to trace the wiring on, so the discount code comes at just the right time.

Partly money, partly ethics.
Related: Of the various online suit stores that pride themselves on low priced goods, would you know which of them sell goods that aren’t complete junk?
I have nothing bad to say about that magnet. I have a Bell Star Carbon and my only complaint is that the magnet out-lasted the glue they used to make the magnet’s pouch on the strap.
Counter-point: Buell’s 1200cc V-twin Harley paint-shakers.
For good measure, I took the another bath towel, rolled it up and laid it on the floor behind the door, ensuring no light would sneak in.
Again: research! Yeah, you don’t have recurring costs of diapers, but you still have a healthy up-front cost and plenty of ongoing utilities charges in rinsing them, cleaning them thoroughly, drying them... plus you have to bake in some labor rate for handling that over the “wrap it and drop it in the can” for a…
