Every student at a school with a uniform abuses the "standards." My high school had a problem with students not tucking in their shirts. The "look" back in the 1990s when I was there was for the student to wear her skirt short, her shirt untucked, her tie loose and socks rolled down. Several years after I

Summer's is probably the old favourite for celebs, but the new place has more interesting flavours...might get them in too!

Summer's or that new gelato place across from it??

I'm not too far from Yorkville, where a lot of the excitement/parties are (it used to be where EVERYTHING was, but a lot of it has moved southward)...I can't stand it when people lurk outside of hotels waiting for celebs to come out - and around this time of year, it's usually a mob. People, I'm TRYING TO WALK! I

Maybe they have larger frames and are over 6' tall?

I don't know about you, but I've never been too pleased with BCBG's runway looks. The standard pieces - ones that are never part of the MBFW shows are usually much better.

What do you mean by "class thing"? All I know is that I don't look like the women upper middle class families generally hire to work as nannies. As for Filipinos who're Mestizo, if they're mixed Spanish and/or Chinese, then wouldn't people think they're mixed Spanish and/or Chinese? Why would Filipinos think I'm

I don't get this kind of harassment all that often, but random people (always Filipino/Filipina) asking me if I'm Filipina. From nannies in the elevator to security guys at the airport to baristas at coffee places I don't often frequent. People don't ask me if I'm Chinese or Korean or Japanese. Just Filipina. I

But there must have been more colours. I remember something that was fairly pail and on the pinker side. This was circa 1996 or 1997, I think.

It's great if you don't have a scent sensitivity! Benetint gives me headaches!

I have this in my bag as well. Actually, Sephora (at least the Sephora stores in Canada) is carrying a duo Almost Lipstick and lipgloss two-in-one for a limited time period. Love it! Also, didn't they used to have a few other shades? I remember using it in high school because our uniform code specifically stated

Maybe I'm just very removed from ultra-ultra Christian cultures, but I can't imagine that the parents of a 16 year old would consent to marriage (assuming that 16 year olds in your jurisdiction have to have parents/guardians sign before getting married)

Maybe because those who use donor eggs use their husband's sperm? That way, the child is still biologically related to half the family. Personally, I too would opt for adoption rather than donor eggs and/or surrogates.

I think there are women out there who don't realize that a lot of older moms get pregnant through donor eggs.

I'm happy for Jackie and her parents, but I wonder what would happen when she's older and wants to join a sports team. If someone on the team knew that she was born male, would it cause issues for her?

My issue with Lady Gaga in drag is that when she's in drag, she reminds me of those middle school boys who're trying to look and act grown-up. Maybe it's because she's so petite.

I understand the Chinese/Vietnamese/non-English language origins question, but only if you're an immigrant and want to read books/get materials in your own language. If you're of non-English descent, but were born and raised in the UK and cannot read the language, what good will it do for you? I mean, I'd be lying

If it's grooming-related, then it's a "woman" issue. But could it also be a different "cultural" issue? Growing up, my grandmother always told me to avoid certain types of exercise because it would make me more muscular and therefore not "feminine" looking (the "ideal" Chinese beauty (at least the way my grandmother

Phillip Bloch totally rocks. I met him at LG (Toronto) Fashion Week a few times and he seemed nice.

Could it be that "Blue States" marry, on average, later than in "Red States"? On Say Yes to the Dress Atlanta, there are many, many more brides in their early 20s than on the Kleinfeld version, for example (not that a reality show is really that great an example to use).
