@intime: Honestly, I think this size thing really depends on one's height. For someone who is model-tall, size 14 is very average. However, someone my height (barely 5'2") and small framed, size 14 really IS plus. "Average" would be a size 4.

@singedeuxmille: Bright red nails and hoop earrings aren't considered "professional" by some. Some even think they border on being a little inappropriate (read: slutty). Both were actually against dress code at my high school (with big hoop earrings being referred to as "shower curtain earrings"). Not sure what it

@intime: I don't think it's fair to call women this size as "normal" while calling everyone else "abnormal." Are short, tiny women abnormal to you?

Interesting that I haven't heard him being called a manwhore yet....

Gotta love Boxing Day deals!

@Alexis: And as cute as she is, having dark skin in China = bad. For thousands of years, fair skin = beauty.

@Gnatalby: The baby in the trailer is Rose (Charlotte and Harry's biological child), not Lily.

Are Crystal Renn's measuremetn's right? If they are 36-31-41, then she doesn't have much boob compared to her waist and hips.

@Cimorene: But you said that Obama benefitted from "white privilege" while growing up. Using your logic, he couldn't possibly have, because he is seen as black by the general public. Therefore, his access to education, society, etc, is likely based on social class.

@Cimorene: Isn't Obama's "white privilege" more a class privilege than racial? Judging from his biography, he grew up upper middle class. An upper middle class person (regardless of race) is always going to have more privilege than someone who is lower income.

@MrsCatbird: Some white people do...but only if they have an "unusual" last name or a last name that isn't specific to any ethnicity (and isn't Smith, Jones or something to that extent).

@coldtoes: I'm of Chinese descent, yet Filipinos always ask me whether I'm Filipino and Vietnamese always ask me if I'm Vietnamese. I think the only people who think I'm Chinese are Chinese people!

@ainsworth2: OK, I call myself anywhere from Banana to Jooksing to even YASP. Doesn't make me less or more Chinese, does it? Caublinasian/Caublasian is similar, no? Just because he calls himself Caublinasian/Caublasian doesn't mean that he's not identifying with his "black" side. Again, I think it's very insulting

@nicnack74: On the whole Tiger thing: It's unfair that certain segments of society won't "allow" him to claim his Asian heritage. Doesn't that segment think it's insulting to both him and his mother? When Tiger says he's Caublasian (spelling?), in no way is he saying he's NOT BLACK. It's saying that black and other

@amowls: 32? Try 34! Many designer/premium lines have their PETITE jeans at 31.

I too wrote to Gilt Groupe about the pants and they gave me the same reply. I wrote back and said that pants should look like what they'd look like on the wearer - the pants on the "standard" size model look like capris, not full length pants. I also said that had this been a plus size line, they'd most definitely

I'm assuming that the school has very high academic standards, and is more of a university preparatory school than a religious one (think Catholic schools....many kids who go are NOT RC)? Otherwise, I don't understand why the family would even want to send their kid to such a school - wouldn't a Conservative or

Duh?? If a guy doesn't do any housework, how is he really supposed to know what his wife is thinking/feels?

That's exactly why I wanted to publish my novel as Cynthia WASPYLASTNAME rather than Cynthia CHINESELASTNAME. I was talked out of it, though. I kept on telling my publisher that few people want to read a novel about a white girl and her mostly white friends written by an Asian writer. When they see Asian writer,

@spamanda: Normal, healthy babies can be lighter than 7 lb. If a kid is below 6 lb at full term, I'd be a little more worried.
