@Charlotte Corday: Someone who tries to be as "American" as possible so that they wouldn't be seen as FOBBY? I'm not from the US, but Canadian. In high school, I bought nothing but Le Chateau (when it was at least halfway decent), GAP and Jacob (Canadian clothing brand) because buying from Chinese malls, Club Monaco

The last pic is more wrap-dressish than kimono. A proper kimono doesn't look like that. But I guess it becomes a kimono since an Asian model is wearing it.

@Charlotte Corday: Lactose intolerance and a dairy allergy aren't the same thing. You can be lactose intolerant and not allergic to dairy. Most peeps who are intolerant can have some forms of dairy too.

@jejune: Claudia, but with Mallory's hair.

I have a smaller band size and it's hard to find things that fit my back!

So does this mean Drew uses a PC?

I had a teacher in high school complain that we girls aren't modest anymore because we don't wear slips. She said that when she was in school, she'd wear one practically every day (she graduated from high school in the early 60s, I think).

My Jez avatar is an old FB profile pic! I don't look as compressed as I do here, though.

$1? I got $1 when I was seven years old because my parents didn't think there was a need for me to buy anything. But I complained after a few weeks and it went up to $2. By the time I was in high school, I got $20/week. That covered my lunches and I still had enough left over to save for "fun stuff."

That's exactly why pant lengths are so long...so one can wear heels like that.

Can't wait for Vogue to do an All Alternative Models issue (plus, petite, disabilities...no S&M, Goth, etc...it wouldn't be Vogue).

I *LOVED* Sophia. Tiny, but intimidating!

There are plenty of 40-something+ celebs they could have used for the issue. It's like when they used a 5'6" girl to represent "petite" in the size issue a few years back. They didn't have to use models.

Tony Leung Chiu-Wai (not to be confused with another Tony Leung, Tony Leung Kar-Fai, who starred with Jane March in The Lover) and Carina Lau Kar-Ling = Brajalina, I guess.

That Sun article:

Mama Weaver sounded mean. You never tell your daughter she's "plain"!

@LaComtesse:Catholics had to eat fish on Fridays though...or did that happen later?

Re second clip: How old IS Michael in that? He looks like he's in his late teens (early 20s?) but sounds like he's 12 years old (not that he *DOESN'T* sound like a 12 year old right now).

@scullymurphy: So you're saying that the company should make an exception for people who take a year off when it comes to promotion? You take a year off, you lose a year of experience. You could have missed out on a project that could impact your career.
