The industry often responds by saying that they like using models that represent their clientele. Ummm, if that's the case, they'd be using women who're at least 25 years old and would use lots of Asian women too.

The Canadian feed on CTV (or at least the feed in the Eastern Time Zone) did not censor Sally at all. We heard her say "goddamn war." It was after 10 pm after all...

I think people who run modeling agencies (and people who are in the film/TV industry as well) will (almost) always give you the so-called "PR answer." You know, lots of spin. I've participated in talks with film guys and I've asked questions like "do you think the industry has dumbed down in the past 20 years?" and…

So Ann Taylor is going J.Crew and Banana, huh? They both have "Collections."

Didn't they make a TV series of Ramona back in the 80s? With Sarah Polley as the title character?

Well, if we want to see more normal sized models, we have to tell the designers to change, not the agencies, not the magazines. If designers make larger sample sizes, then larger models will be in demand. So hey, designers, make your d@mn clothes bigger!
