I really enjoyed the guy who didn’t want jousting to be in the Olympics because he thought they would take safety too seriously and make them swap armor for kevlar.

Oh! That is significant.

I worked in the Boulder PD as an intern a few summers ago, and first time burglary and drug charges did have a decent chance of getting diversion/deferred prosecution, which means that: (1) if you admit guilt, (2) and do well on probation for X period, then (3) the crime gets wiped from your record like nothing

I don’t see how any judge could do this, but I especially don’t see how any judge could do this after the Brock Turner outrage.

Once you’ve caught/evolved all the really common stuff, trackers (or eggs plus the blessing of the RNG gods) are the only way to make meaningful progress.

If they can rent without buying, yes.

They have the money (and the ability to raise more money), and it’s been a month.

I got told I was going to hell a few times as a kid and I turned out serviceable.

When they get too far, turn on AR and then turn it off again (or the reverse). This should bring them back to the front of the screen.

Phone mount for the bike. You can watch for spawning mon out of the corner of your eye and do some simple tasks (like flicking stops for items) one-handed. It was great when PokeVision worked and I was farming specific Pokemon for evolutions, because I could criss-cross the park from one to the other. Now I plant

There are a couple threads on Silph Road that think: (1) the game queries your location every four minutes, and (2) you get credit for the shortest distance between the point you were at for the previous query and the current query, with the caveat that (3) if you go over 25kph (or 20kph?) in a single minute period,

I’m slightly teasing, but I have seen “Niantic wants you to buy more balls!” as a conspiracy theory about the catch rate changes.

... buy more balls, friend!

Serious question, why can’t Niantic just get more servers?

Non-functional in my medium-sized city.

With Pokevision, I ran across town for Charmander and Porygon. Without Pokevision, I plop myself between three lured Pokestops and collect Pidgey.

And in a country in which high-dollar clubs supported by wealthy parents dominate youth sports

That one’s your own fault. There’s an aggregated “XX/YY” counter in the top of the item menu.

Most judges want to be good. At appearances like this woman’s, I’ve seen a lot of judges getting hands on about local jails not providing appropriate mental or physical health treatment. And a lot of big prison reform (before Congress cut that off at the knees) came because of judges’ orders.
