@Snow: Seeing the headline I was all, aww and Dominic is going to be a father! Sore disappointment.

But you're not going to win, and you're losing in the process. You'd still be investing a lot in whatever their standards are.

And when liberals and progressives pounce on rumors like this one about Trig's "true" parentage — whether or not it is true, which I'm pretty sure it's not — or rumors about Republican politicians' sexuality (in the absence of crimes committed) we are conceding that conservatives are right, and personal choices do

It's clear enough - now. I don't think I missed any logic, though, just some details in your argument that weren't there before.

@swallow: My thought exactly.

What I think she means is that you've seen two parties (a man and a woman) strike up a friendship that turned into more and two parties (a man and a woman) sleep with some random person they met at a conference. So, in theories on differences between men and women, because there are a man and woman involved in both

@TheRevanchist2: Don't stereotype generalizations! They're all different!

@drunkexpatwriter: Which is pretty much the same for guys, probably, isn't it?

The bit about cheating in the workplace is so odd. If he's trying to argue that female infidelity is so different from male infidelity, why would he say that it's especially on the rise with working women, and then pull stats that say 46 percent of women but 62 percent of men cheated with someone they met through

@heroineworshipper: I'm not sure I'm not the umpteenth person saying this to you, but I find your chosen term for 'women' kinda creepy.

@Reese: I would call it healthy skepticism, not cynicism, and also 'history teaches us'.

Being in a poly relationship taught me two things, both invaluable: 1) a relationship is whatever the participants agree it is, and 2) all that means very little if all the participants have not agreed on what it is explicitly.

I don't assume anything. I just think obviously serious stuff calls for serious consideration,and not flippancy or off-base comparisons and me-me-me stories. Everyone can write as they please, but no one can reasonably expect not to be called on it. Even if it's online.

Joan Hickson, aka The Real Miss Marple, does not approve.

Me too!

How are we doing on time?" asked Stosuy. "You've got plenty of time," said a man's voice, off-stage. Stosuy frowned, and asked if the audience had any questions.

@Bonster: I think 'such cases' refers to babies being born in extraordinary circumstances or kids being in trouble. Youth Social Services will be called in to help the family and keep an eye on the child (and mother, in this case). It's actually a good practice.

No, it just shows quite a misguided sense of priority, if you ask me.
