I’m going back to the sloth story

Silly? Perhaps. But I don’t write ‘em

Congratulations! I just have one important question for you.

I’m no Tesla fanboy, but the fact that you can count on your fingers the number of Tesla fires is pretty good proof that’s it’s not a big deal at all. Gas powered vehicles catch on fire so regularly that there’s a term for it, carbecue.

Because it’s so much worse than when an ICE car’s gas tank explodes. I swear, it’s a running theme every time there’s a Tesla post: someone makes a vague, underhanded your-uncle-on-Facebook kind of comment that somehow batteries make these cars more “dangerous” in some way. Come on: “cut loose?” You make lithium-ion

I ran a 2012 BMW X5M press car in the One Lap of America Race. I put 10,000 miles on it, and did 9 track days in a week. I absolutely hammered the shit out of it. And at the end of the week, I loved the thing so much, I tried to buy it, and thought BMW might give me a good discount (because the odds of any journalist

Virtually all press cars are just serial production cars that get sold late. An infinitesimal number are pre-production cars that must be destroyed. Remember, the press does not only drive cars at launches. We also get cars week and months and years after they have gone on sale.

Alternate post title: “Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck”

Everything wrong with Torch’s pants in one picture.

I’d Explorer.

That’s saying that those cars deserved to be saved/destroyed by the Overhaulin crew.

Sadly, you don’t know what it is to truly love YOUR car...

I still own #85, though not for much longer. I am sad to part ways with it, but it is time to move onto something newer as I lack the motivation, skills, or money needed to keep mine in top running condition.

Seriously? A waste of time? Friends restore a very personal piece of a man’s life as a gift and your response is.....it’s a waste of time. Jesus Christ.

I had #62 of the first year of production, same color as Jason’s and remember him from the forums. Great story!

You just don’t get it do you? Have you ever had an emotional attachment to something like he did his car? No. Most likely not. Sure, the Fiesta ST is newer and faster, but you don’t get the same connection to the car that you did with the Focus SVT, You don’t have the same feeling of the road through the electronic

Well, the 4-door SVT Focus is already a very rare car. In 2003, they only built 120 in the same color combo as this car. 148 in 2004. So, you’d have to find one out of a possible 268 vehicles, and I can guarantee that Jason’s car was the absolute cleanest example of the SVT Focus still on the road.

(I was making a butt pun)
