Everything is offensive to someone. For instance, there are people who take offense at the term “wretch”.

My point is that just because white people didn’t own slaves in the 1920's didn’t mean they stopped fantasizing about it and using language to reinforce the idea of their own superiority.

The term “master” does not imply “slave”, and is not exclusively masculine, nor is this usage of the term associated with slavery or masculinity. This is merely the latest instance of doing violence against the English language to guard against an imagined offense, based on false etymology.

I can get behind doing away with “master” as the terminology, but primary sounds too clunky. Why not main? Main bedroom, main bathroom. Sounds much better.

This was back in an era before they had youtube, so entertainment was more painful for some.

I’m happily married and my wife already does this.

I’m happily married and I still might do this.

This is my first divorced Christmas since AngryExWife (aka, Krampus) moved out. So I’m starting my own tradition where I spend the week sitting on the couch in my underwear, getting drunk and binge watching Netflix.

We don’t need the 12 days of Christmas, we currently have the 55 days of Christmas that start on November 1.

She didn’t name it. That’s just what it’s called. Chill.

Because it looks like old school dog food. If it helps you breathe easier, a lot of people just call it "Muddy Buddies".

Sounds like they’re stalling for time and letting anti-choice laws sit until they can do their Roe strike-down next year.

And this, right here, is why we keep saying the surveillance state is wrong and needs to be fought, but it’s always “If you’re not doing anything wrong, you have nothing to hide”.

This is the same Texas government who outlawed red light cameras because they are unconstitutional and “violates your right to face your accuser.”

I’m just amazed how the pro-forced birth people can get away with anything (both in the real world and digital world), but those of us who are pro-choice can’t.

Right, just like we shouldn’t bother trying to prevent gun violence, as a better use of one’s time would be spent helping shooting victims.

“I don’t think it should be a struggle not to drink. We should help the victims of drunk drivers instead.”

Isn’t helping potential abusers before they start to abuse helping victims?

Does an internal thought you have and keep to yourself hurt another person if you never act on it? Do we want people, who have thoughts that they know are potentially harmful, to be able to get help so they don’t act on those thoughts?

We already have incredibly harsh sentencing for stuff like child pornography, but guess what, people still do it. It’s pretty clear that treatment for this condition before a person acts on it is a net good for society.
