Also we must remember that even the biggest IndyCar budget would get you precisely jack squat in F1.

I might’ve missed it in a previous article, but I had no idea they were thinking of eliminating DRS. If the new aero works as intended (that’s a big if; F1 teams are quite good at doing the “impossible”) then I suppose that makes a bit of sense.

The entire IndyCar series probably operates on a smaller budget than the Mercedes F1 team.  Of course this would take a long time.

Reminder - Mark Webber was puking in his helmet / over team radio while running P2 in the 2007 Japanese GP (in much, much worse weather conditions) before being crashed out by Sebastian Vettel. And he didn’t whine a single time about being sick that weekend.
