Coming fresh to F1 right now I can see how his large fanbase in general might be confusing. He is much more grumpy especially on radio than he used to be and he certainly doesn’t have the speed he used to have. At 38 he is the oldest driver in F1 at the moment.

Them starting up their own streaming service is great either way, but I’m not getting how in countries were F1 is a big deal and broadcasters are competing for F1 TV deals they would let the exclusivity to go anywhere.

When you have worked most of your life for something it’s nice to have some kind of lasting object. At least some will appreciate that. In many sports the actual trophy has a long history itself. Be it NHL, FIFA World Cup, Wimbledon. Granted, in those cases you don’t tend to get the trophy.

Scirocco had the R 2.0 TSI engine that was plenty for it.

I don’t remember Barcelona having too many graffiti? Though, Barcelona has quite stark difference between which side of La Ramblas one is. I tend to stay in the old city and the coastal side.

San Francisco really was a bizarre place. I was there for three days and saw human feces (I think) once next to escalators and near the business center right on the pavement, as well as park with quite a bit of homeless people. I’ve never in my life seen human feces in the streets of Helsinki in the 20 years living

I quite liked the movie, but I do think you need to be in a mood for it. I appreciated originals world building and visuals, but the story in that world was boring imo. This one I thought was superior in every way - outside of the visual influence to others.

To me it feels like a great fit as well. There’s a bit of a art deco quality to the AMG vision.

That said. The most popular racing series in the world is quite team centric. There are plenty of people that just cheer for Williams, Ferrari etc. and the drivers come and go.

That would leave it essentially to handful of Western countries. I mean I agree with you, but it simply wont happen.

Their history goes long back. Daimler owned near 10% of Tesla till 2014 of years ago and Musk credits them for saving the company on the initial investment. In 2016 Daimler severed their ties to Tesla as a supplier. Tesla used to supply some of Daimlers battery packs.

If anything I feel Tesla gets away with WAY more than any other manufacturer. This isn’t any different than the shit BMW, GM etc get. They just usually have to provide actually finished product on launch.

Tesla could have at least made the interior to look like the price of the car. Volvo makes Scandinavian understated interiors on their cars, but they still look like something.

What? They read Pledge of Allegiance everyday in school? Looking from outside that sounds scary as hell. I would never let my children be part of something similar in my home country.

Kimi was ahead of Verstappen before the hit and had no way to go outside of emergency brakes. Yielding a spot at that point would have been craziness for him. But then same really goes to Verstappen that was sandwiched.

It’s not much, but then that isn’t too surprising. Much of the baseline R&D work in media gets twisted like it’s Google leading they way. It’s the likes of Bosch, Nokia and Ericsson that are spending largest sums of cash on the essentials - like networks in which those autonomous cars will actually run in and the

Have you ever tried badminton? Not the kind where you just stand in one spot and try to hit the shuttlecock. I did organised sports 7 days a week till I was 21 and I was soaked in sweat in 30 minutes like playing soccer or tennis rarely got me in that time.

This looks like so much fun! Thanks for the great write-up.

You are in jalopnik and you have never heard of autobahn highway network?

I thought the general feeling on i8 was that it looks great? Imo it looks amazing. I don’t mind i3, but I can totally see why some would not like it.
