And that is a very interesting topic. I personally got extremely mixed feelings about it. When you buy music, you legally also sign a contract that you buy that music for personal use only. That all is well established much before Twitch and youtube came into play.
Well yeah that is a common problem for us who have been kids at the N64, PS era. In general those games did not age well. Starfox probably on the better side, same goes for Mario kart 64., Mario Party
You do, but you can't play it for 10 000 people on your stream. Just like radio can't play their music for 30 people listening without licensing it for that use. When you bought your album/song you bought it for your personal use.
But you are using somebody else content to earn money. This is very well explained on the video. I mean radio, or more modern Spotify, Pandora are not being paid by the labels to play their music. It's the other way around.
I wouldn't say "everyone". I mean they sold a lot of them.
I never got how it was possible in the first place, and actually seems to be for a while before this concerns actual streams, and not just video-on-demand material. I mean Twitch has been pretty damn big for a while now.
I doubt anybody is arguing you here that the game somehow looks amazing these days, and of course remake should be better. I would be extremely disappointed if it wasn't.
It's nice to hear some other people share my sentiments with SMG. If anything I was just frustrated that they had gone back to those amazing controls and feel of it, but "wasted" it to Galaxy's linear world.
I actually got that with almost all of the N64 games. 3D camera behavior was in its infancy. Granted my symptoms only came after very least 1h of playing.
I actually bought N64 once again year ago, and was really surprised how well the game still played and looked. It's rough graphically of course, but all the shapes are defined, clear. Many other games of the time are mess of dark colors and shapes that resemble something. Helped by the game not trying to be realistic…
Mario 64 holds amazingly well. Just to think that it was the first truly enjoyable 3D platformer. Just comparing other 3D games from that time period. Or maybe it is my heavily Mario 64 nostalgia soaked brain?
...and? Value still doesn't mean anything. It's not a accounting term you can check from your annual financial statements and see factual number at the bottom.
I did read that, but "worth" doesn't really mean anything. It's numbers that are spawned by couple of media houses.
He is mellow Finn in general, though when the topic is right he is very opinionated and not afraid to speak up.
"The combined leagues in Europe aren't worth what the NFL is worth."
Well I would say one team being 10% of NFL is quite a lot. Also he was talking about one euro league being as big as NFL, when there's 4 big soccer leagues in Europe.
I honestly don't see anything wrong about this, and China's huge economic growth is one of the best examples WTO and open trade doing what it was supposed to do. I mean isn't this exactly what we wanted and one of the main purpose of WTO? Capitalism has worked better than anything else yet at bringing equality out…
I guess you haven't watched a soccer game in your life. World Cup was full of head injuries.
I have amazing memory of this being played 2 nights in summer with 4 best friends and a lot of candy, sodas etc. to keep us awake. Was amazing. I can't actually remember where in the hell the game came from. I was only one who owned N64 among my friends. Might have been friends brother.
