if i believed he was telling the truth about any of this, i would understand why anonymity would matter to him. but since i'm now convinced absolutely everything he says is a lie, he needs to show his face and prove some of this. at this point i don't even believe a word of it.
am i the only one who thinks, as reprehensible sorority/fraternity emails go, this one is actually fairly innocuous?
that sound—from the 9 hammer, or the home run bat, or sleep, or whatever that dumb thing is luigi does—is the most satisfying sound in gaming. true story.
you know, i feel the same way about speedrunning. i get why people are drawn to it, i do, but ultimately that's something entirely different from what i would consider "playing the game". if you use glitches—hell, even if you don't—to fly through ocarina of time, which should take even experienced players 10-15…
and i get that, and i'm not upset with yannick for this story whatsoever. i was just venting. apologies if it came across any different.
it's not that this isn't interesting, don't get me wrong. and i don't have an issue with this article at all. i'm just saying, like an old man on his front porch in the rocking chair with his shotgun, that sometimes it is my perception—mine alone—that there is a premium placed on the hypercompetitive component of…
am i the only longtime and very dedicated (north of 5,000 hours easy) smash fan who doesn't WANT to understand all this "high-level strategy" stuff? honest to god, all i've wanted to do since the first one is beat the crap out of my friends and/or the computer and/or both. i could take the time to learn "smash…
there's a reason these figures are $40-60, and the other ones are $15. SH Figuarts does incredible work on every property it has, and some of their figures are a steal at twice the price.
all i see in these comments are a bunch of people whining about capitalism.
wow, did you ever miss the entire point.
that sign was one of my favorite things about going to games at comcast. man, i miss maryland.
i bought it release day and already traded it in. the character models took me right out of the game. it's not just punk and vince. they're all bad, with very few exceptions. and they still walk and swing their arms like characters from the sims.
every weekend is a high school reunion in my hometown.
which is why i couldn't be happier that i live 1,500 miles from home and we've never had a formal reunion. because fuck those people so hard.
seriously, another gamexplain plug? seriously?
ingenuity, fraud...same diff.
i'm a mets fan, and my kaz matsui shirt is still laying around in an attic somewhere. dear jesus.
i playtested it about 6 months before it came out. it was, to me, meh at best. i begged WB to please bring kevin conroy back. you have plenty of time to right this wrong, i told them. but alas.
serious question: why the obsession with game xplain over the last few months? a lot of those videos are borderline unwatchable.
Chicago has been recreated (at least in caricature form) in such painstaking detail that at times the game feels more like an intricate diorama than a 3D world. As someone who loves dioramas, this is a good thing.
