If you think they don’t have a say in what the Pokemon Co. does, you’re the one who doesn’t understand corporate hierarchy. It’s their money, their brand, their franchise. Gamefreak and Creatures being the main devs and the Pokemon Co. being a marketing management…

I’m still hoping they’ll announce a proper Pokemon game for the Switch. But this Direct, a week before E3 was really bad timing.

Hype management isn’t all on us, fans.
It’s a bad strategy to announce a Pokemon specific Nintendo Direct a week before E3 and not expect people to hype up, specially when there have been reports of a supposed mainline console game.
