A modern Darkstalkers game could be bonkers fun. The potential for cool characters and mechanics makes my imagination fly.

It’s a shame. I have very fond memories of DS, i liked it alot more than any SF.
Seems i overestimated it’s popularity. It was fairly big here in Brazil. when we were coming down from the Street Fighter 2 fever, Darkstalkers was a breath of fresh air.

But aren’t they wasting a ton of money on some weird RE spinoffs like on-rail shooters, some RE movies (that nobody gives a flying fuck about).

That’s a massive waste. So many cool characters.

But traditional art is restored constantly, too. There’s upkeep for the older works of art and restoration for terribily damaged ones, some restoration jobs are balls out amazing, as masterful as the paintings themselves, some take decades. And that’s where i think the merit in relabeling old games.

Mario Kart 8/deluxe is an extremely shallow game, but the replay and fun factor are off the charts. I don’t think mechanical depth of ARMS is much deeper.
As long as it’s fun, people like the characters and nintendo keeps coming up with content...it could succeed.
