“Fact: Great teams score more points than the other team.”

It’s Lake Erie/the Cuyahoga *River* (which is what caught on fire.)

I believe the Erie River feeds into it.

It’s painful that the most obvious of hot takes are also correct — Kyrie needed to get his head out of his ass and the Cavs are better without Love.

Honestly, I’m cool with any two perimeter players from the Bradley/Smart/Crowder/Hunter combo. Then they don’t have to worry about resigning Delly and they have alternatives for when JR or Kyrie are in a down cycle.

I feel like this is probably the case for the majority of people who watch sports.

I think he’s fine as an NBA reporter and he has good access and is even pretty fair — I just find him really condescending to everyone else on the podcast and his tangents aren’t nearly as entertaining as he thinks they are.

I think the hope is that they’ll lead you to some new insight or thought about the sport.

I don’t know about “pure,” but it’s been pretty widely covered that they needed to cut budget, so yeah.

Could you do a Hubie Brown-style breakdown?

Those first three names, plus Ethan and Big Woz I totally agree with.

Mark Fainaru-Wada and Don Van Natta

My first thought when I heard this — holy shit, 2/3 of the Tuscon Skyline is dead — Brian Williams (aka Bison Dele) and now Rooks. I hope someone is checking in on Ed Stokes!

Right, I think he’ll be good in time — much better than Love — but it takes virtually everyone a season or two to get used to the intensity, to recognize plays, to understand switches, etc.

Go home David Blatt, you’re drunk

Edit — sorry, wrong person.

Wiggins is no better defensively and would be worse as a shooter and rebounder, so no.

Yeah, I do not understand the “Andrew Wiggins, lockdown defender” revisionism that’s out there.

I don’t think Wiggins would be nearly as good on a team with two guys as ball-dominant as Kyrie and LeBron.

The way the cap works they were essentially locked into returning a losing Finals team.
