Browns fan here

lol, you don’t seem real open to discussion about this, but sure:

Hey, a Duke player would *never* do something over-the-top in order to show up the other team and pump up the crowd.

“Should I go with a ‘mom’s basement’ line? No, that’s been done. I know, pocket protector! Now that’s a sick burn!”

As a Browns fan, I think Lions fans are offended by your comment.

I know it’s a cliche, but how most owners ever got rich enough to become owners in the first place is the greatest mystery in sports.

Each of those teams except GSW and SAS has as many, and strangely similar, flaws as the Cavs.

LeBron the GM has failed LeBron the player.

“What if I slapped the floor on defense every time down the court as we were kicking your ass? Would that have been cool?”

Right, he should have gone with “turned down four first rounders for Frank Kaminsky.”

Ok, as a Browns fan, I’ll make the case:

You know, sometimes I get the sneaking suspicion that coaches, advisers, shoe company guys and family members don’t always have a player’s best interests at heart :).

I can’t disagree with anything you’ve said, but it just seems like it’s all such a case-by-case basis.

I don’t know why you think what I’m saying has anything to do with the NBA helping the NCAA. I’m saying that the NBA would benefit from a system where players could get famous, develop, get extra time to be scouted and still be drafted if an NBA team wanted to take that gamble.

They aren’t going to implement a whole new system

Bledsoe, Boogie, Brandon Knight, MKG, Cauley-Stein and Devin Booker have all done alright by themselves, however you want to measure it — acclaim at the appropriate stage in their career, max or near-max salaries and extensions, draft position, etc.

But they should have interest in helping each other, right?

I sort of agree with your point, on the other hand, if Simmons went to Kansas and got Selfed, would that necessarily be better?
