Sure. Previous administrations exported jobs overseas. Enacted ridiculous regulations. Drove the labor costs sky high and basically threw these manufacturing jobs in other countries’ laps. Now when we try to bring jobs back into this country, de-regulate, give incentives to domestic producers - we are protectionists.
There are many reasons oversea raw materials are cheaper to produce and ship there than to produce domestically. Some are stricter regulations here, higher labor costs, etc.
