As soon as I heard they used Black Flag as the subtitle, I said to myself "Henry Rollins better be the Antagonist in this game, or getting royalties, I'm sure they could slip him in somewhere" I mean it's a good name but really Ubisoft?

Sing it!

One thing I learned a long time ago, is if you KNOW there's gonna be shit talking, don't look into the comment sections. As tempting as it may be, just don't.

Films are entertainment, but you're trying to argue that if they don't entertain enough people, they didn't do their "job" which is wrong, that's completely subjective. A movie is going to be entertaining to somebody, and 9 times out of 10 it's at least going to break even.

Really? You know it's funny, the moment I first heard John Blow's name, that's all people have ever said, and yet I've never heard him say or do anything that made him out to be better then everyone else.

I hope the next time you make an off joke, that instead of everyone getting the joke and getting excited for whatever you're about to talk about, everyone calls you a pretentious "giant wanker".

This person gets it +1

I think you answered yourself pretty well, but how much one is entertained is on the same level as beauty, it's all in the eye of the beholder. You may not "enjoy" it or be "entertained" but that's all subjective to the viewer. I'm not saying you're wrong, I'm just saying you're not going to like something that isn't

It's evolution of the market, and guess what? The market adapts to the people, the people don't adapt to the market.

You're absolutely right, Used games don't hurt the game industry, but every publisher on the planet would tell you otherwise when they couldn't buy that 4th yacht, lol

I'm pretty sure Peter Sunde wanted free speech, Gottfrid and Frederik not so much, but it's not a black and white subject either.

"I never said they owed it to anyone."

No but you thinking they owe you it as freeware is extremely naive and entitled.

Lost Odyssey was such a breath of fresh air after having been disappointed with most JRPG's after Final Fantasy X (I'm always going to be a turned based guy) But the part that blew me away was the fact that I didn't even find out about it until 2 years AFTER it came out, "How could I miss this game!?"

TF2 also didn't start out free to play and is good because, again, was developed from the beginning to be really good. Same thing with League of Legends, it's the most successful game in the MOBA genre because the developers wanted to make something better and easier then DotA, and they did.

Most people who I know didn't just hate Final Fantasy 13, it was a whole range of negative emotions, but they sure as hell didn't come back, lol they stopped playing Final Fantasy altogether and moved on to better franchises because it was the straw that broke the camels back. So yea it's died down, but most people

That was also right around the time C.H. Greenblat left (or was going to work with) Cartoon Network on Chowder, when he left, they lost most of their charm and their best writing.

The difference here is he's not denying the sale at all, he's simply letting them know whats up, because like he mentioned, most of them don't have any clue and are just doing it to get there child to be quiet, and like he said, the only time they ever didn't buy it was when they made that distinction themselves,

With Melody of Life playing in the background, which perfectly set up the scene, man. Still to this day, of all the Final Fantasies, and hell among most all games I've ever played, Final Fantasy IX's ending was absolutely perfect. Like OmegaVader said, IX is easily the most under appreciated and underrated Final

The thing is though, knowing how Randy acts, he probably had faith in and expected Timegate to come through because they were a developer who had shipped a shooter in the last 5 year let alone a decade (unlike 3D Realms) AND it had moderate success, so Randy probably thought it was a good opportunity and they were so
