Thank you, Kotaku, for publishing this. The misogyny of this game has gone well beyond its digital borders, and while it's gotten its fair share of attention on this site, a direct, personal account like this should hopefully drive the point home for those gamers who still don't see the real social issues with our

About dang time! I know it'd dilute the branding for traditional marketing, but I really wish each depiction of Shepard was different - we never see the same boring Eastender twice. Same armor, helmet, and/or weapon each time, but a real sense of personalization. By all means, same game, just different promotional

Nope. Logitech G5 - little padded top never ceases to impress.

Oh, you'd be surprised - it's what took Duke Nukem Forever so long to get released, and it's why we still haven't seen Half Life Episode 3.

Can't believe it hasn't been posted yet here... but for the uninformed, here you go.

Suddenly I'm imagining a Miyazaki-esque dystopia, where nature has walled in mankind into such a densely-packed, layered city (third image) and animals and plants have reclaimed the rest of the planet.

I'm even worse. I speak too quickly & too softly. Meaning I have to repeat myself so frequently, I start preparing to before the other person even has the chance to say "What?"

Why did Karen sound so shaken up and emotional? Or was it just cold?

I too disapprove of a separate app for Video, but that reminds me - have we heard anything about iCloud support for videos? You know, the ability to redownload iTunes movie and TV purchases. Is that going to happen eventually?

Not at all - people have been clamoring for a size increase on iPhones since their release.

Good point. iBooks is both library and store (as I imagine Newsstand will be). I imagine the reason is that there would be just too many different categories (bottom row of buttons) and not enough screen real estate to show them all. Then again, an iBooks-like transition from storefront to library could work (though

My thoughts exactly. Now that we're seeing these PS2 re-releases (and people's excitement for them), is it any wonder Sony dropped PS2 backwards compatibility (when it would have been otherwise feasible)?

Hrm. Given the way they've handled DSiWare - I wouldn't count on anything nice and neat (a la redownloading PSN content).

Yeah, they're going to need some Metroid Prime Wii-style movement where pointing left = rotating left. No way could you swivel all the way away from the screen in order to shoot something that's now on-screen.

Super Saiyan emo Dante!

Yeah, I mean, when the controller was mounted on a zapper (ok, admittedly that looked a little wonky) - it would be a perfect fit.

Agreed. This was like the first mentions of Natal - tech demos that wouldn't really shape up for a year or two.

Well, to be fair, they were mentioning upcoming titles that are already well into production. I'm not sure how far into the future you can speculate about games for a system that's probably over a year away from release.

He seemed nervous as all heck about that announcement.

Well dang.. one more mention of "it gets better later on" for an otherwise meh game. Struggling to decide if it's worth the time sink and wishing for more concise games.
