Dany just has employees and she’s become more remote as her power has grown. There only scenes I can think of where she’s supposed to show humanity of late are the private ones…

I hear you but I disagree. He was the substantially weaker actor in all of the pairings you mentioned. They were just better at carrying him.

Let’s be fair: they are both terrible actors. It’s like GOT had used all of the good ones on the lesser parts, ran out and had to make do with second tier for these two. Their private scenes together are terribly flat as there are no excellent actors around to save things.
