I abhor the Call of Duty series. I've always seen them as the most generic, arcadish, mainstream FPS games. Simple rule for me:

I play war-based video games exclusively. Everything else bores me to death. And war-based meaning stuff from Sins of a Solar Empire, to the Battlefield games, to Star Wars games, to the Halo games, etc.

You've never played Battlefield before, have you?
