Claire, the recipe is a little unclear - you have many of the dry ingredients listed twice, and from the instructions it sounds like there are 2 “dry mixes” - one “spice rub” and one dredging mix - but no instructions for making the latter (recipe just jumps right to “flour mixture). It sounds like the “spice rub” is…
yup seriously. as an Indian kid growing up in Maryland in the mid-80s this fucking movie was the bane of my existence and the single greatest go-to resource for assholes who wanted something to mock me for. fuck this movie.
uhm if you have a 401(k) and you’re not self-employed you’re typically depositing pre-tax dollars into it via salary deferral handled by your employer. you don’t have any of that money in-hand before it hits your 401(k). i don’t think 401(k) accounts are even setup to take cash deposits directly from the accountholder…
i have it! i found it at a knick-knack shop in Fells Point (Baltimore) like 10 years ago. honestly it’s kind of a pain to use but I love to use it anyways because who doesn’t want a hot cup of robo-tea from time to time. if you’re a sadist you can voiceover the steeping - “beep boop beep ahhhh this burns why are you…
100%
ah good to know!
Pachysandra is an invasive plant and so should not be used by people who are concerned about the impact of their landscaping choices on native flora. can’t speak to the other plants on the list, but given that you recommend Pachysandra I guess I wouldn’t be surprised if other plants on this list were also considered…
I was in Vienna for a TB vaccine conference back in the mid-aughts, ended up going to the Loos Bar almost every night we were in town.
for those who are concerned with the fat content of chicken skin or the logistics of dealing with bone, boneless/skinless thighs are a great compromise - they’re still quite flavorable and very forgiving of overcooking but less fat than the skin-on variety. it’s my go-to cut of poultry these days.
I caught his live show at Wolf Trap in Northern Virginia 2 summers ago - he still sounds great and puts on a hell of a show
I’ve been using Schwab for years now and really happy with it. nice bonus is that Schwab also has an outstanding free online checking account with full & unlimited reimbursement of all ATM fees worldwide.
Simpsons, too!
Just wanted to add, if you have young kids and you’re doing estate planning, think about setting up a trust instead of a will. can potentially make it easier for you to manage how/when the person/people you designate as guardians can access your estate to help pay for managing your kids; and avoids the probate process…
are you thinking of The Man in the Black Suit?
from at least one article i read it sounds like he had reason to believe that the young lady was 15 years old (the actress is in her mid-20's IIRC)
my wife and i did the estate planning thing with an attorney earlier this year. one piece of advice in addition to what’s above - look into setting up a trust instead of a will depending on your circumstances. we have 2 young kids (5 and 2), so for us some of the benefits of a trust were worth the higher up-front cost…
personally, i’m a big fan of the Litter Genie. it helps incentivize daily or almost-daily cleanings - you can just add to the Genie every day but only have to haul it outside once or twice a week
lol yeah, that’s what i was (obliquely) getting at
I’m going to assume that Sharon meant to say that she looked at AIDS virus particles through a scanning electron microscope, since she’s surely aware that virus particles are far too small to be visible in a typical light microscope.
