I own one and they are a fair bit nicer than the average small car. I also save about a net $150/month driving it.  That is $1,800/year savings which would allow you to recoup the extra investment over a comparable car pretty quickly.

If they want hydrogen to take off, they should start with a hydrogen/electric hybrid. Make it an electric car with a decent range that has a hydrogen fuel cell generator as a range extender. If people only have to fill their hydrogen tank once a month or so, the fact that there are few hydrogen fueling stations around

It failed in the Volt because nobody understands how the Volt works. Every time I explain how my car is an electric that has a generator backup for longer trips people are surprised and intrigued. Whoever is in charge of marketing for the Volt should be fired.

Yeah but it’s the WAY they say sorry...

I’ll one up you by eating neither. Full vegetarian... when it comes to sheep (sorry pigs, cows, chickens, selected fish, etc.).

I have been in a car that was attacked by the goose. It beat the crap out of the car door as it was driving by. Maybe that was an isolated case of a psychotic goose but that thing came right after the car. It was definitely not one of the “well behaved and not aggressive” geese.

It is called football because it was... wait, I am guessing you give zero fucks about why it is called football. Sorry for wasting your time.

Yes because people are SO much better at not hitting pedestrians.  Especially drunk ones.

Is gas station dining an East Coast thing?

I actually understand the fear of a socialist state thing. Thirty years ago you could make an argument for the US system we had then being superior to European socialism of the time. Their healthcare system was substantially worse than it is now and ours was better (and WAY less expensive) than it is now. We had a

Haribo Erdbeeren (Strawberries) Primavera.  Why are these not in the US!  We will eat them, I promise Haribo!  They are pure sugar!  Americans are all about that!  Send them over!  You can swap them out for your weird sprinkle covered black licorice stuff!  Send Fred Ferkels too!

Yes, just look at all of the wrecks of countries in Europe that have a longer lifespan and a higher standard of living than the US, do we want to end up like them? How will we ever get limited Socialist ideas to work? When have large-scale government programs (besides public education, the GI bill, interstate

I just bought one and I concur with your opinion.  Chevy did a HORRIBLE job  of communicating just what the Volt was to people.  I still have to explain to people that the engine in the Volt does not actually turn the wheels of the car.

Nobody gets suspended for running their mouth in sports.  Would you really even want that?

Management did a bang-up job of it. The guy responsible for what happened managed to gut a successful site of all of it’s talent and did such a great job that he is now looking to “pursue an entrepreneurial opportunity” elsewhere.

To be fair, your initial comment wasn’t exactly deeply insightful.

You can get a low mileage Chevy Volt with 43K miles for $16K. I know that is above your price point but the gas savings adds up really quick. With $2k down you will have a payment of about $250/month. When you consider that if you drive 20 miles/day you could be saving about $60/month in gas versus a very fuel
