I hope you like it. I would caution you that the official forums are a cesspool of whining. The game play mechanics are fantastic. Moving shooting, jumping and throwing grenades are so smooth. If you can find friends or an accepting group the game improves by leaps and bounds.

If you’re on PS4, add me (PSN ID is same as my name here). I don’t play as frequently as I used to, but I wouldn’t mind showing you the ropes!  My raid group could use an extra 1 or 2 anyway.

I just started playing in September and can’t put it down. I purchased the taken king bundle for $30 and it’s totally worth it. Destiny 2 may not come out for two years for all we know. if you are looking for a shooter to play casually, i can’t recommend destiny enough.

Agreed! I really love the FPS mechanics (movement, shooting, etc), although I am not a fan of the RPG aspect (tower, running to vendors to do stuff that can be done in a menu, etc).

Still the best FPS mechanics on the market, in my opinion. If you like competitive MP, you’d be missing out if you don’t grab it (especially since you can get vanilla Destiny plus all four expansions for like $50 - Destiny: The Collection).

It’s definitely not too late, but it’s best if you can find a group of friends to play with. Most of the content can be played with 1-3 players, but you’ll want a group of 6 to complete the Raids. I haven’t even had a chance to try the Rise of Iron raid yet, and I still feel like it was worth my time & money. I…

The origional game is 9 or 10 bucks now. You may be able to find it used for $5. try it and see if you like the mechanics. The original game will only have a fraction of all the dlc but it will play the same and give you an idea if you like it. If you do like it go ahead and jump in. If you don’t like the origional…

I love the hell out of this. People get too wound up thinking their day to day is boring, and that there is nothing significant about all of the little things that add up in our lives.
