Brilliant. When Guidos collide!

80% is a guess, however, it's not entirely without a reference:

I absolutely would. Beyond noise, I have little regard for hot-rods, resto-mods, low riders, etc., just on aesthetic grounds.

How silly of me to think that a completely unnecessary noise, generated entirely for your personal entertainment should bother me. Please, carry on!

It's clear to me why you must be a straight pipe motorcycle rider who enjoys watching small children cover their ears as you drive by populated areas- you seem to posses the conversational skills of a coffee table and find it an easier way to communicate. Your ignorance is not my problem and I see no reason to "go

Your eloquence proves my point exactly. It would seem you are part of the 80% of "motorcycle culture" who thinks their rights are more important than everyone else's. Why not adopt a more secure position and say something that ads to the discussion instead?

They aren't my rules and I can't say if they are high school rules either. What I can say is that they are the basic guidelines of the New York Times. And the reason they were developed was to make it easy for readers to view articles.

Confrontational? You are the one advocating violence against people you don't agree with.

I could not agree with you more. There is a lack of editorial training on this site. This post is more of a "story" so it's somewhat more acceptable. But when, for example, I read the Nice Price or Crack pipe posts, I would love to see them start with the basics, like the specs on the car, location, price, etc.

You prove my point exactly. You think it's OK to exercise your "freedom" (all be it illegally in most states) at the expense of taking away the freedoms of everyone else. Happy 4th of July, I'm sure your philosophy is what the founders of the United States intended.

You are correct. They absolutely damage the "legal" and sophisticated motorbike owners.

It might surprise you to know that I've actually owned a 1967 Harley Davidson Sprint SS, which I brought back from the dead. I love cars and presently have (amongst others) a "cage free" convertible, which I find far more rewarding than a motorcycle.

You could make that response to any post on any forum anywhere in the world, and it would be just as meaningless as it here. What, specifically, are you talking about?

There's no trolling involved, I believe completely in everything I am saying. I do not believe that "freedom" should be had at the expense of others. I'm actually quite surprised at the number of responses that involve violence, insults, and just plane vulgarity. The point to which people take their right to

I've made no such connections. I'm talking about having the freedom not to have to hear your after-market exhaust system.

Why does that fact that someone may be a bad driver give you the excuse to use (what is in most states) an illegally loud exhaust pipe? By that same rationale I could drive down the road honking everyone 5 seconds.

You seem to be under the impression that violence is an acceptable form of expression in a civilized society. Then when that doesn't work, you resort to childish name-calling.

Now playing

Have you heard of the psychological term "projection?" South Park has said it better than I ever could.

So you are saying that bikers are so easily intimidated that criticism brings them to violence?

You don't indicate that you have a stock exhaust system, but in the hopes that you do, I agree that most my generalizations do not apply to the small percentage of sport bikers and for that I apologize. If only you weren't so tainted by the 80%.
