I got to drive one of these, maybe 14 years ago. The engine had been re-worked, and the turbo put out something like 22-25psi.

well, yah, but not by much. not a giant fan of either car's exterior, frankly.

I like the way this looks better than the bare viper.

Oh, man, Mars should be ALL OVER that commercial right now! I’d bet they could even get Tymon in on it at this point.

Someone should start a Kickstarter with a USB enabled slim jim. Doesn’t do anything a normal slim jim wouldn’t, but has a spot for a USB drive!

I'll call it: These will be in the next Fast and Furious.

Dave Long:

You had me at Car Bros, they’re hilarious, but lost me when I realized that he wasn’t actually going to FLIP a car, but was just going to buy/restore/resell said car.

Nope, i’ve already pitched the idea to Ken Block for Gymkhana 19: Drift ISS. i’m sure he’s going to respond to my e-mail any day now...

If you’re going to have to deal with snow in the MR2, it’s doable with good snow tires. Blizzaks, luckily, only cost about $130 each in my experience, so that’s not terrible. Without snow tires, just hook an engine up to a saucer sled, you’ll have more traction. With snow tires, it drives really well. I even went and

I replace rear tires every 6 months (I drive harder, so they’re normally toast by then, and I live in Colorado, so snow tires are a must on this car in the winter. absolute must!) and front each year, so I haven’t had to worry about punctures. if I ever had a blowout or puncture, i’d be in trouble. AAA is my friend in

There’s a frunk that can handle a backpack AND a duffle bag, and two compartments behind the seats that are large enough for a golf cart-bag full of clubs. there’s more storage than people give it credit for.

Agreed. part of the reason i’ll never sell mine is that I could conceivably run the ECU off of a TI-83 calculator. Just enough electronics to run the timing and injection, and nothing else.

hahahaha, that’s so well said!

if you buy an MR2 spyder, REPLACE THE BOTTOM END! New rods, new rod bearings, knife-edged crank, and a oil-pan baffle plate. If you want to know the reasons, message me and I can fill you in on why each piece is needed (and it’s not about built power).

Hey, thanks for all of that! I might have to inscribe “to become a dragon” on my wall somewhere.

That seating position is why Mr Bean liked the McLaren F1 so much. He’s one of few people dexterous enough to climb into that center seat flanked by walls and controls :)

Best use i’ve seen yet is Destiny. Lights up Green when you’re at full health, red when you’re low, and glows yellow (gold) when your ability is ready. In a dark room, I can tell more about my character from the glow of my surroundings than I can from looking away from the action to the corners of the screen.

Actually, not long after 1993, Ford actually made a Puma for the Euro market. This has a little bit of the same design.

The Ford Puma is strong with this one
