I pretty much lost interest in pro football this year. I no longer set my Sundays (or Monday nights or Thursday nights) by it. It’s too much - oversaturation of games, the laughable system of fines/punishments which seem to be made up on the fly, and the hypocrisy of the owners/commissioner talking about player safety

Juju’s hit wasn’t dirty, the taunt was stupid but not dirty. Here is a clip that shows that Juju was leading with his shoulder. Look at the second slowmo angle. He literally stop and turns his shoulder into Burfict. If you only see the one angle it looks awful, the behind the back and top angles show that the hit was

Fuck, now Roy Moore is going to run for Senator of Montana, too.

Gotta give Belichick credit. Knowing McDermott would be rightfully angry over that play, he had one of his players injure Tyrod Taylor for him.

I dunno man, what would you like us to say? Gronk did something stupid there. Not the first time for him. Hopefully Belichick chews him out (the whole team had way too many penalties today) and he doesn’t do it again.

“Flags. I fucking hate flags. You fucking hate flags. Everyone fucking hates flags.”

Saying a person is alleged isn’t giving them the privilege of doubt. It’s just a way of saying you don’t have any actual proof or that the person in question hasn’t been convicted. If you have some form of audience and influence I would think you could be sued for slander or libel if you leave out the “alleged” or

It’s one thing to give your own account or support someone else’s but to speak on their behalf when they haven’t said anything publicly is going too far. They didn’t even come forward when she was sued.

the point is to send a clear and direct message that calling someone a rapist based on hearsay is grounds for a defamation (or libel, if printed) lawsuit. it is designed to get the attention of the public, via the press, by including such a massive number (jezebel is playing right into their hands), and although I

I think the crux here is nobody has made an accusation publicly to stand behind.

Not really. Pierce probably doesn’t have enough money to make it worth the lawyer going after.

I will be very interested to see how people manage this reaction if/when the Bryan Singer and Dan Schneider stories break. How do managers, tutors, and parents ... people legally and morally obligated to protect children say they had no idea these things were happening? It was literally their jobs to know! How do you

You’re two decades too old, and ten grades too literate, to be a ‘Stoolie’. Be thankful.

Maybe I’m preaching to the wrong crowd I have no idea... But I am a 32 year old male dude who watches sports. Shouldn’t I be right smack in the middle of Barstool’s wheelhouse?

I mean, considering how often LH is clearly out of its depth and willing to just repeat whatever someone trying to sell a book tells them as long as it sounds like something that fits their preconceptions, do we really want to see them start on health policy?

All I’ve ever wanted from a poached egg is cooked white and runny yolk in a convenient package. I get that from soft-boiled eggs. That’s not a copout at all.

They were imitating the Angels.

I just love the concept of how many guys had to agree to this before the game even started and just how well it comes across. These kinds of celebrations just make you smile.

hey, you can’t always get what you want
