As with you, I sit in a dark room and repeat over and over "You never know when that stuff'll be useful again!" & "If I throw it away today I will need it tomorrow."

Carrying spare batteries is always an excellent idea. I use the Storacell SlimLine Battery Caddies by PowerPax I got from Amazon. You can store your used batteries until you can dispose of them by putting them in "upside down". No rattle - No noise - No shorting
That too, of course. Cheers.
Did you expect me to climb to the very back of the attic and in the deep reaches of my basement to haul together a pile of old electronic equipment I didn't want to get rid of, wished I did, and now feel guilty about keeping, just to post a photograph on Lifehacker?
Nice prices on the Kurt Vonnegut books and a reminder to Amazon Prime members you can borrow them for free using the Kindle Owners' Lending Library.
Thank you! I'll admit I am a cat person, but there is something about working dogs that really garners my respect. They are still dogs and they do like to be liked. I think it's great you want to show them you like them, and I'm glad I was able to help.
Why is it an atheist is always described as the dog in the manger? I don't celebrate Christmas or other 'religious' holidays, but if someone says Merry Christmas to me, I say it back. I used to think I am either an atheist or an agnostic, but as much blame is assigned to us, perhaps I should answer any question as to…
I did too.
I am often in places that use working dogs as part of the security force. There are times when they introduce a new/young dog to the environment and, like you I like to pet them. If so I ask the handler/partner/trainer if it is OK to do so. Almost every time they say I can. They tell me it is important for the dog to…
Beautiful Dog! Working dogs are the best.
Yes it is. But I heard there are 4 parking spaces in the city that aren't parallel parking, but I think that number is too high. ;)
I'm just across the river in Great Falls Virginia and you're right; parking (and the subsequent parking ticket) in the District is just about all parallel. Also the Washington area isn't Number One when it comes to patient drivers, so taking "too long" to park will get you noticed; something you don't want. This is…
Excellent comment, but the only thing I'd change is "This is coming from a smart 23 year old girl ^^"
4. While stopped, turn your wheel all the way to the right. ALL THE WAY. Don't move forward or back while doing this! (and 9, 12, and 14)
Now that scares me. :)
You are late to the conversation and your generalization about men, and assigning me characteristics simply by my sex is fighting fire with fire. Your hostility toward those who actively support human equality makes no sense and I seriously doubt opens your views toward finding solutions to that problem.
Don't patronize me. I know damn well that applies to women world-wide. You totally misrepresent the point of my comment.
