Bought mine with 230k on the clock, have put 20k on it and haven’t done more than a couple oil changes. Solid car.

The rest is lightweight plastic, the underbody aero looks like some sort of carbon fiber or kevlar (RIP to the snow storm), and everything inside is super flimsy, including the hand built seats with minimal foam.
You can install cruise control.
It can, but it’s a lot more comfy in the mid 70's. The tiny tires and the lightness of the car mean that even a little bit of wind will push you all over the road.
At 85mph you’re probably gonna be pushing 3400RPM in 5th, so you’ll at least not have trouble staying there. It’s the 70mph range where the engine just…
Especially when you consider how overpriced the golf R is for what it is.
I think mini fucked up by making more “models” instead of sticking to the tried and true small car. the newest mini’s are anything but mini. They’ve all gotten huge, bloated, expensive. And it doesn’t help that you have to choose between what seems like 10+ different body styles.
Just make the mini-mini again. stop…
Because people are cheap and don’t want to replace tires every other year. They want to buy them once in the life of the car, and never think about them again.
econobox suggests that it’s an economical car, IE it gets good fuel mileage, doesn’t require expensive services, uses inexpensive sized tires, etc.
STI is not an econobox.
And something else to consider, as part of the settlement, VW devoted a lot of resources to building up an EV infrastructure of chargers in the US. I don’t know if they’ve broken ground yet, but it’s part of the settlement that they invest a ton into it.
I’m an admitted VW fanboy, so take this with a grain of salt.
I think the E-Golf is the best electric car in the normal price range available right now. When they built the MQB platform, they built it with large batteries in mind, so you lose next to no interior room going from the ICE to the full electric drivetrain.…
You could buy the same car with the same or fewer miles on it for a quarter the price, on literally every cities craigslist in the lower 48.
This is the most crackpipe of crackpipe deals. You can buy a mk6 TDI Jettawagon for less than this. a 4-5 year old car... Why on earth would you spend that on a 30 year old car?
An…
But it’s not, unless you spend thousands of dollars. There’s no direct cash to credits in game. This has been blown completely out of proportion.
And? Isn’t the point of games to play them? 75 hours of multiplayer is nothing to have a maxed out character.
I really struggle to see the problem here.
Do you know how hard it was to play as a hunk of tofu in RE2? With only a knife? Why is playing a game for a few weeks suddenly viewed as unreasonable to unlock the…
As a non-native but grew up and lived there for long enough Alabamian, this is absolutely hilarious.
Gadsden mall banned him. That’s like... If some neighborhood corner store in New Jersey banned a NYC mayor from coming there.
Fuckin’ bama y’all... Glad I left, but hot damn if it’s not hillaryous to watch it all play…
Yeah, but it takes considerably longer to break down a 16 top into 12 different checks - to actually print and and give to the individuals who are paying for them, than collecting 12 cards and hitting the 1/12th button on the computer, and then calling out names to give cards with authorization slips back.
Split checks…
Yeah, I picked it up used, and it had a bevy of problems. I just replaced both rear door lock actuators, got a radio that doesn’t drain the battery, and had to gut the EGR. Thankfully it’s been serviced at a dealership for most of its life, so the cam is in good shape, and I haven’t noticed any issues with the turbo…
Giving my Golf back next week. Picked up an 06 jetta to replace it, with the 1.9 BRM engine that’s pretty much the dirty CR without all the emissions stuff...
And then I found out that my golf is likely going to be crushed since even though it’s in great shape, it’s an 11 with 150k on it.
How does that make any sense?
Right? You get full EV for trips to the grocery store and other short trips around town, and then you can actually road trip the thing to see family over the holidays or whatever.
The ICE doesn’t have to start up and run cold for your trip to and from the grocery store, and gets to run on the highway at constant RPM…
Through city centers i’ll stick to middle lanes, or in the case of I5 up here the left two lanes are designated for through traffic.
But we have normal speed limits here, so driving 65 is slow to some. If the speed limits were considerably lower I wouldn’t drive below them.
Why on earth is “Keep right except to pass” not on this list?
I drive 2-5mph under the speed limit, with my cruise control set, and am constantly utilizing all 3 lanes on the highway to move around slower moving vehicles who are either backing up traffic by driving in the far left passing lane, or driving in the middle…
