I think the answer is: anywhere where you can afford a house with a garage. Who the hell does car stuff outside of a garage? Plebians, that’s who.

Can we just take a moment to discuss a serious issue here? This is a car enthusiasts forum. HOW IN THE HELL are there so many “enthusiasts” living in states with regular snow, running ALL SEASON TIRES?!?! WTF is wrong with these people? Why are they on this forum? Do they actually like cars?

I’m so lost.

While you may drive slightly smarter (still dumb considering your weather and your lack of adequate traction) that doesn’t mean others on the road will follow suit.

Can you tell me why you don’t have snows? In a place that actually has winter? for 18 year? Is it because you’re rural and there’s not much driving?

How many of their political/moral songs are top 10 hits? What matters is that the issues are on a main stage, regardless of who’s speaking the words. The issues don’t change when a white guy talks about white equality, or a black guy talks about police brutality.

It’s below the Mason Dixon line, it’s the south east. You twat...

So comparing your normal life in a place where snow tires are mandated, to a southeastern US city that sees snow maybe once a year, is pretty silly, is it not?

Nobody wants to mention the likelihood of a sheet of ice covering all the roadways?

Isn’t that a little unfair?

I’ve been there, in Birmingham a few years ago, we got about an inch, but it started with rain and static temps right at 30* for a day, then it dropped into the teens and snowed. There was no way anyone

I imagine, you have dedicated snow tires, as well as 95% of the rest of the driving population? Or do you run all seasons year round like most people in the SE US?

They always leave out the fact that there’s a solid sheet of ice underneath the “1 inch of snow”. Happened to us in the SE a few years ago, when Atlanta and Birmingham got absolutely shut down for a few days. All the news reports just said “a light dusting” and failed to mention that every inch of road surface was

They should force competitors to maintain a .08 BAC level, keep things interesting.

Same reason I bought one. Cheers.

Wait hold on. You bought a TDI for fuel economy, but you weren’t intending on keeping it for an appreciable amount of time?

Did you actually do the fuel savings calculations? You need like at least 7 years ( I think) to break even vs a gas car with 25% worse economy. And with gas being so ridiculously cheap right now,

But doesn’t driving a polluting car across the country go counter to their whole reason for not wanting to keep the car in the first place?

I’d wager a guess that maybe (I hope) we care about civilian casualties more so than before, so sweeping raids would be less efficient.

They would be the voting majority right now and probably not have a sincere hatred for us.

Which is what the field sobriety test is for. But most of it doesn’t matter, since they will check for nystagmus (rapid eye movement which happens when you have alcohol in your system, regardless of how impaired you are) and lock you up. Because $$$$$$$$

You could pass all of the actual sobriety test with flying

I’ve been in that situation. A long day of working, skip lunch, have a quality beer or single cocktail, or a glass of wine, and almost immediately feel it. 2 drinks in and you’re acting silly.

Is that always the case? No. But saying it doesn’t happen is silly.

It’s easy to get to a point of impairedness with one or two

I hate that style hose clamp, and it makes me sad/happy to see them on such an expensive vehicle.

That’s what i’m saying. Look at Hyundai who had to give customers money because of falsified mileage claims.

From my friend who owned it, he says they’re leather. If they are, the engineers don’t understand where stitching on a steering wheel should be.

Literally the worst drive i’ve ever encountered. And i only drove it for a few hours.
