Which is what the field sobriety test is for. But most of it doesn’t matter, since they will check for nystagmus (rapid eye movement which happens when you have alcohol in your system, regardless of how impaired you are) and lock you up. Because $$$$$$$$
You could pass all of the actual sobriety test with flying…
I’ve been in that situation. A long day of working, skip lunch, have a quality beer or single cocktail, or a glass of wine, and almost immediately feel it. 2 drinks in and you’re acting silly.
Is that always the case? No. But saying it doesn’t happen is silly.
It’s easy to get to a point of impairedness with one or two…
I hate that style hose clamp, and it makes me sad/happy to see them on such an expensive vehicle.
That’s what i’m saying. Look at Hyundai who had to give customers money because of falsified mileage claims.
From my friend who owned it, he says they’re leather. If they are, the engineers don’t understand where stitching on a steering wheel should be.
Literally the worst drive i’ve ever encountered. And i only drove it for a few hours.
Which can be overcome with teflon coated rounds, right?
Have you driven an F150? rip hand skin
Maybe its different in the SUV’s, but in my TDI it’s one of the better leathers i’ve dealt with. Coming from an autocross background and driving a lot of different cars.
I’ve taken my last 2 golfs offroad and beat on them pretty hard and never had them do this “VW thang” you speak of. YMMV
You don’t like leather steering wheels?
edit: Holy hell I didn’t realize VW was selling the Touareg for 42k+ Retract that one, my bad. And it looks like they don’t even offer the TDI anymore?
Most things that are sold with the intent to tow do. It’s all electronic anyway.
You know you can buy an air jack system. I think they’re like, 1k per corner, plus air lines. Use a smaller tank to supply pressure and refill at home.
It seems like you’re comparing VW’s to BMWs?
What did you think about the golf’s and passats and jettas? Compared to their counterparts in mazda, honda, toyota, etc.?
Does nobody take into account the simple fact that we will at some point in the probably near-ish future, run out of the oil capacity we currently have?
Does future proofing your industry with slight losses now, not make sense in the long run? Or should industry act like there isn’t an impending end date to oil…
Care to elaborate?
Not to mention, more than likely all of the computer parts come directly from japan.
Amen!
I feel like the whole point of a bus/microbus, is to be able to go out of town and live in your bus. With an electric, don’t you just kill any opportunity to road trip with its reduced range?
I know TONS of “car people” who have never driven competitively in any sort of sanctioned racing event. They street race like hell, and have absolutely no car control skills.
I’d wager, pound for pound, those people are more dangerous than people who are timid behind the wheel. For the simple reason that these guys…
