As a never ridden a motorcycle but currently considering it person, seeing that there’s an available auto makes me that much more likely to pull the trigger. I’ve been looking at groms and really want one, but if I can get essentially the same thing, newer, and with an auto, it’s a no brainer.

When I’m done I can turn

It’s brand new!

You cant find a used one for less than a new one. Unless it’s trashed.

The same folks go to road races, they just can’t park their RV on the infield and party all night. I had some good friends who were rv campers at dega, and came to Barbers for Indy and classed it up.

PC Master race would never. How dare you even insinuate something like that.

The only reason we masterrace folks own a console is for streaming netflix and letting children play their basic bitch video games.

I take it you’re not from a place with a NASCAR track nearby? It’s common knowledge round these parts that it’s just a 5 day drunk fest. Leave work wednesday to buy more beer than you can imagine and partially beat some traffic. Setup, and party all fucking weekend. Drive home hungover on sunday and wait 6-12 months

You posed a question, asking if there was loud noise or screaming, I answered. There was no loud noises or screaming.

You do realize you put a question mark on that sentence right?

My position the entire time was that they cut the wreck out, and I use the evidence of the total lack of wreck sounds to justify it. It hasn’t changed at all.

That doesn’t give other motorists the right to ram into him for crossing a double yellow... That’s essentially assault with a deadly weapon.

Have you ever ran into anything in a metal cage? It makes a lot of noise. If you’re going 90+mph and come to a stop in a wall, there’s going to be a lot of noise, and it will last a while as parts fall back down to earth from orbit. Then there’s the ominous tick tick tick of cooling metal, and the hiss of steam as

I’ve heard cars run into other cars from blocks away. There was no catastrophic wreck noise, phone flying, etc. Just silence.

Nope.

You do you. Rock on Brothah

No, actually it hasn’t, because the cars are still getting above EPA stated mileage, and are still well built and fun to drive.

Go look around for used TDI’s, they’re holding their price just fine.

6th in the MT is geared way taller, so at 70mph they’re turning at 1700-1800 rpm, where we and our DSG’s turn at 2400.

Had I known that going in, I would have opted for the manual, but I stupidly assumed they would have the same gearset.

I do think however, the DSG gets better in town mileage due to its shorter gearing,

I feel the same way. 11 Golf TDI here, and I’m always disappointed when a tank gets under 40mpg. But then I think about how many other cars out there are getting that kind of mileage, with the same fun factor, and stop caring.

That % drop in mileage is less than what I see going from LRR’s to summer tires.

If VW wants

This is what a lot of people seem to be missing. There are diminishing returns once you start getting up into the 40’s and beyond. Unless you’re taking drastic change to get another 10-20 or more miles per gallon, you’re really not seeing much difference at the pump.

It’s more or less the savings you would get from

I bought my TDI Golf new in 2010, ordered straight from the factory in DE.

I stopped taking it to the dealer after I got my 3 free oil changes, and have performed all the maintenance myself for the last 60k miles. It’s got a little over 100k on the clock now, and I honestly don’t care about this kerfuffle.

I like the

The problem was found to be dumb people putting gas in the cars. There’s no issue with the fuel system if it’s only run on its intended fuel source.

You know you can do the DSG fluid change yourself for under $150. Tack on the oil and air filters for the full 40k service and you’re at like $225 or so.

And there wasn’t a problem with the fuel pumps, people put gas into their cars, and wrecked the pumps. There was nothing wrong with the design.
