Anti-lag and Launch control are two completely different things.

Anti-lag takes place off throttle to maintain spool, it does not happen on launch, or at any other time. It's strictly dependent on TPS and KPA and probably on the fancy cars some sort of motion vectoring.

Anti lag =\= launch control

And Launch control

Actually launch control is a system that sets timing and injector PW when activated (usually by a clutch button) that also limits revs. Due to it changing timing and injector firing, you shoot fuel and a little spark (essentially) right into the turbo to spool it up while there is no real load on the system.

It doesn't

That second video is more of a launch control thing rather than anti-lag. Still cool nonetheless.

Out of curiosity, why haven't the armed forces implemented better parachutes with a bit more control so the guys piloting them aren't just slamming into the ground?

WTF is wrong with you people?

And probably turn off whatever other traction control systems are on board.

When will they release the Hentai version in HD?

I'd say, after racing both, the TDI and GTI are on a level playing field in terms of suspension. The only true difference is the high revving HP driven 2.0t on the GTI vs the low revving TDI that favors torque.

That extra 12mpg makes daily driving the TDI that much better.

The TDI has spectacular suspension that's actually very responsive.

After tracking and autocrossing the only thing I hate about it is the undefeatable traction control system. Everything else is the perfect blend of fun and practical. The suspension is tight but gives enough to make daily driving not uncomfortable.

Golf TDI or in your case GTD. The only thing you may not get is the sub 7 60, but that's totally not important when you have torque and can easily go from 70-90 with a slight press of the literal fuel pedal.

30 combined is shit though.

Fold flat rear seats are not a thing on most of the VW Golf line. They fold to a roughly 20* angle.

As a "young" buyer of cars, the last thing I wanted in my car was "technology" in the way of a navigation system, extra crappy speakers, touch screens everywhere, etc. I have a phone that has better GPS directions that constantly updates, I don't need a head unit that does that.

The only tech I am happy with, is the

Until you can't afford fuel and then there are no gallons.

Can I just suggest an easy answer to the title?

TEST DRIVE THE FUCKING CAR

I would recommend a Hammock if the track you're headed to has some sort of nature abound.

Consider that at that price, you can't even buy a busted teardrop trailer. It's a steal.

WTF no VW TDI? this poll is bad

Thank you for remembering the massive failure that was the release. They tried to tout 400 something miles all electric on a brand new system that had never been seen before.

Then it came out and turned out to be a chevy Prius.

Now, it's a nice car, don't get me wrong, but they hyped it so hard and it flopped.

Even if he was deaf he should have seen the BRIGHT FLASHING LIGHTS that engulfed all of his mirrors.
