The reason is due in part to the foodie explosion. Everyone and their brother wants some Aioli to make their this or that sound fancier.

Mayo is good, it adds much needed fat to many dry sandwiches and wraps, and makes for a great vessel to impart added flavors (like different aiolis).

That thing is hella flush. That's a good example of how it should be done, almost no fender gap whatsoever.

Here' the road in front of my house. Yesterday it was snowy, today it's a sheet of ice. Neighborhoods all over are like this. I just happen to live at the bottom of a hill.

We got a solid 2 inches in Bama, and most of it melted then iced on the road, so it's pretty gnarly out there for the dumb people.

I did ok with my summer tires and fwd, but mostly because i'm not dumb.

Love Jordan. Coolest dude.

In most real world situations, would a glancing blow like that simply redirect the cars trajectory and point it out of the solid object?

I'm having a hard time imagining a situation where you clip something with the front 1/4 of the car that's solid enough to stop you instead of just bouncing off.

And that's more than likely just veneer instead of decent thickness bookmatching. It is very pretty though.

It's a practicality issue, not a sporty issue. The hatchback is much more practical a car than a typical coupe design. There's more usable space, generally plenty of room in all 4 seats, more than likely a lower drag coefficient, etc.

It's not that people are passing up the option to have a sports car, they're making a

But it's a golf with different clothes. It's still the MQB chassis which is, 90% of what VW sells in the states. They could just market it as a mk7 rabbit or something and no one would be the wiser. The motor, chassis, interior, etc. is all in america already, just not the body.

It seems like they wouldn't have a

This might be a dumb question, but I'll ask it anyway.

Why would selling it and possibly cutting into golf sales be a bad thing? They're still selling their cars, and making money doing so, so why would it matter if they sold fewer Golfs and more Sciroccos? This line of reasoning never really made sense to me. Are they

It does. Probably due to the added weight of the awd system. I drove an R at an autocross, wasn't impressed. Would rather drive a stage 1 GTI.

FWIW I get a solid 36mpg in the city with a DSG. And I get a solid 45 on the highway. Even if I cringe when I see that my last tank averaged under 40mpg, that's still fantastic mileage.

I will agree though, I think of the VW lineup, the bluetec/motion/whatever 3cyl diesel hybrid should have been on this list as it gets

Apparently my diesel powered 6 speed hatchback isn't a right hatchback, even though it has almost 50 cubic feet of space with the rear seats folded down...

No Acuras? WTF

It gets me where I need to go, on time to boot. I don't need 8000 hp in a daily driver that can do a 0-60 in under 3 seconds. It's a daily driver, not a race car.

Nevermind that the chassis is incredible and doesn't need a fuck ton of power to be utilized. :)

Cheers mate, enjoy your mid 20's mileage and sub 7 second

The track your spending is the best damn thing you can do. Followed by an online savings account that gets autodrafted whenever you get a paycheck.

I don't do either of those anymore and i've definitely fallen off the bandwagon.

I drive a turbo 4 every day and rarely get into boost.... LOLLOOLOLOLOL JK, I drive a diesel, it's always in boost, and gets better mileage than your car.

Silly gassers and your vacuum

On the american market. Important thing to note, considering the absurd cars we just can't get here that are widely available throughout the rest of the world.

You called?

That's not really a stanced car... It's just slightly lowered.
