If you don't want to pay for better schools and roads and whatever else your property tax goes to, move somewhere else? Or buy less house?

Now playing

It was the end of summer, labor day ish. There weren't any hills on the main roads that were too bad. The one I mention was the entrance/exit to a beach, and was probably a 30% grade.

Video with all of us in the car and luggage, fun backroad. Most of the driving was down 1 gear from what we would normally expect.

I'd like to think the simple fact that Matt decided to just say" Focus wagon diesel" instead of saying "The focus wagon with the 1.4l diesel" or whatever the motor was, led his comment straight to willful ignorant diesel bashing.

He purposefully left out the important detail about the car he was driving, so he could

They do also get a bid louder with age. My 11' is at 55k and it's noticeably louder than when I bought it. It also no longer has the plastic motor cover on it which provides a good bit of sound deadening.

It is crap. As a car guy he should have known exactly which motor he had in his car.

When I was in Greece we rented a car on Crete, got a golf+, and being a car guy I immediately read up on them. We were blessed with the 1.4l 80hp NA model. When fully loaded with all of us (4 adults) there was only one steep hill we

There's no such thing a the "fast" lane. That's the passing lane. Teach the people in your town to drive and you might not have the issues you have.

There's still a pretty solid clackity clack when the motor is cold, but once it's warm you can't distinguish it from the 2.5 at all.

That entire track would be awful. It's nothing but a series of hairpins.

Probably playing games on his laptop, or texting.

You realize that 2's and 7's went for mid 30's when loaded back in the day, right?

SHUT UP WITH YOUR DOWNFORCE

Why not put a 1.8L turbo in it? They already make the damn things and they get great mileage. If it's not enough to push the heavy car, 2.0?

I don't understand the need for high displacement 4 cylinders.

Thank you for that.

That doesn't change the FACT that it's a passing lane and not a "fast" lane.

I always thought that's where the term "Flash to Pass" came from, and why it's marketed as a thing on DE manufactured cars.

It's not interchangeable because it's wrong. There's not a lane for fast drivers. There's a lane you drive in, and a lane you pass in.

It's the passing lane, not the "fast" lane...

Don't forget, if there's a driver in your lane and you're going faster, flash the brights to get them to move over. The closing speed can be too great to really comprehend whats going on so the flashing lights is a nice heads up.

Which is absurd because she killed someone.

The last one, she was acquitted for manslaughter? That's bullshit. Reckless endangerment, failure to have common sense, etc.
