That's probably 10 feet worth of armco that has to be replaced. Maybe $2000 if the track charges a lot for it.

armco is about $1400 per 8 ft. At least thats what we got charged at BMP.
Every race track does this.
Race groups sell off old stock all the time. Look at any series and you can find a car that's a few years old for sale. The sale price is pretty damn high, but they're still for sale. Teams need to recoup their money.
I'd imagine most of them go to museums or collectors, but some of them go to racers and get raced.
Dude needs to sit closer to the damn wheel. Stretching his arms out straight just to turn.... so newb

I'm glad someone else thought that was awkward.
They wouldn't hold the magnetization for very long, and a simple wipe with a sponge or tea towel would get any leftovers off.
Call the local news and tell them that your landlord won't fix anyone's problems.
Bad press is the fastest way to get shit done. Or at least the threat of bad press.
Birds are bad news on race tracks. A worker got killed a few years back at BMP running out to clear a bird that had gotten hit, and I think the rider that hit him also died.
Safety first guys, don't go out on a hot track ever.
I'd say it's even closer to 100%. Very rarely does a wreck occur that is caused by something outside of our control (trees falling down, shit exploding, etc.).
The only reasons cars are dangerous is because people drive them.
Not bad. It could use a few more vw golfs on that list though.
It's a lot different when you're on a race track. It feels much more natural.
Wasn't there an equally prominent issue of bad quality fuel (with water, or gasoline) thanks to the gas stations?
I will say this, as a TDI owner, it would be nice if the fuel system was a bit more robust and you didn't risk grenading the entire system if you run out of fuel or put in lower quality diesel, or high…
Anything made by VW with a TDI motor. Wagons preferably for added space, but a golf towing a teardrop would be perfection.
Rally Monte Carlo, those cliffs with the foot tall curb... pass
Exactly.
I did not know this. Is that just a nightly build or is it in the main unbroken big shot build too?
Same. But I was told to always button the top 2 (of a 3 button coat) or never button the bottom one. Unbutton when sitting, button up when standing for a nice trim fit/look.
