Arizona is a fairly inexpensive state to live in but when I went looking for a 2 bedroom apartment to rent with a friend like... 20 years ago they were going for 1k to START. I don’t want to think the price is now. And these were basic ass apartments.

I live in perpetual terror of bringing home a variant to my father who is on immunosuppressant drugs. I’m his only caretaker. Without me he’d be in a home so I can’t even get the seasonal flu. He doesn’t just ‘get sick’, a cold can land him in the hospital.
