LEGO makes a LEGO Island world for LEGO Dimensions, and when you enter it, all the cutscenes play clumsily as if you’re trying to play a game the video card just BARELY supports. Low resolutions, noticeable polygons, and of course, all the characters noticing this. “Why won’t my leg move right?”
“If you love your Waifu so much, why don’t you marry them!?”
Yup! Now you’re making me want to play that again!
IGA’s first major Castlevania project was Symphone of the Night, where he began to start filling in story elements of the Belmont clan to flesh everything out. Lament of Innocence was the story that went back the farthest back to the era of the early Crusades (1094) to tell the story of how the Vampire Killer whip;…
I wonder if this particular video was a reason why Goldeneye was #4 on the list.
Well, if we’re lucky, here’s hoping that it does well enough that it prompts them to get in touch with Ellis to see if he’d be up for coming back and doing another one! Unless they have enough wiggle room or material to cover the story of Simon Belmont after this one, the next Castlevania generation that has good…
That is true. The password system and unlimited continues definitely help. It’s still difficult, but now that actually makes me wonder:
Mega Man 2 can still be difficult. It’s just definitely not AS difficult as the first game since it introduced the password system that let players save their progress (at least up to Dr. Wily’s castle).
I second that sentiment. It’s the game that really helped coin the “Metroidvania” term, and is likely something that will bring you out of the rage-induced hysterics that will come after taking a crack at Castlevania 3 and its punishing Nintendo-Hard Difficulty.
I’m with Dankwijoti on this one. Castlevania 3 is NOTORIOUSLY hard and unforgiving, but very awesome too with some excellent music and a neat mechanic for alternating between either Trevor Belmont or one of his companions (if you can find them).
My money’s on Alucard. We did see Trevor, Sypha, and Grant in that trailer too, after all. :)
It’s like when you find a chainsaw, but can’t use it because there’s no fuel. Then you find the fuel in another game in a locker on the planet Mars, but then have no chainsaw.
