I'm going to guess regular Ninja Gaiden since I think 3D Classics only apply to either 1st Party Nintendo games, or REALLY gung-ho 3rd party Japanese devs that want in on that kind of action (like Namco Bandai w/ Xevious).

Maybe there really IS something to that urban legend about the girl who stayed far away from Fist of the North Star for fear of getting pregnant!

Hey, the Leisure Suit Larry series has had some GREAT music in its "colorful history". Just listen to the LSL theme here with Al Lowe himself on saxophone!

This isn't the first time Sony has tried to start shit with Nintendo.

Time Loop Anime? That's a thing now?!

Alas, you are right. One of the problems with anonymity in places like this is that maturity and age are never shown up front. Granted age does not ensure maturity, and maturity is not always a sign of age, but even so...

Many games that don't get funded usually never get anything higher than 25% or so. The majority of failed campaigns rarely attract any attention whatsoever for many reasons. They have no supporters at all, if any, or weren't serious about the game.

The fact crowd-funding exists at all is a blessing to the industry as a whole, yes. But it's still a sad thing to see things like this happen to good people you know.

It wouldn't have worked. As I mentioned elsewhere, there was only about 2 seconds left before it was clear that they needed $28, and by then it's too late to get that other pledge in. In fact, 5 minutes before that, they were short by over $1,000. People were raising pledges and reaching out for new pledges left

It was suggested to me by another developer currently using KickStarter that what KickStarter should do is include a "Cut Off" time for cancelling a pledge. Instead of permitting someone to back out of a pledge all the way to the last second of a campaign; they should have a cut off time, like say, 24, 12, or 6 hours

As I mentioned in the rants at some point, I didn't care to correct the misunderstandings I was so angry at... because I was angry. It's kind of a thing with rage: you really don't care if you fix something because you're more interested in destroying.

That is correct. KickStarter is All Or Nothing. If your goal was $50,000, and you end with $49,999, then you get $0. Nobody gets anything.

I've made a lot of posts on this website over the years. But that amounts to a hill of beans it would seem here on this site. Seniority, accuracy, helpfulness all seem to be null and void in the comments of Kotaku.

He already pledged as much as he could, and no, he couldn't have pledged any more. A comment from someone else who put it more clearly said here:

How did the ability to empathize get taken away from so many people? Just what screwed up thing happened to all of them?

He hasn't completely given up on Alpha Colony or on KickStarter, but he can't just "Relaunch" a campaign like that. He has to focus on making sure his business doesn't go under and that he can provide for his family. He'll come back to Alpha Colony and KickStarter when he can.

"LOL" is not the word I would use for them. They piss me off royally. I wouldn't be surprised if they were all snotty little brats in high school with no understanding of the way the world works. The insensitivity, the disdain, the sheer lack of understanding or even DESIRE to understand...

For crying out loud! Do you know how much time there was when the realization that there was only $28 to the goal was?

He had already pledged everything he could. If he pledged anymore, it would have forced his bank account to bounce, and then that'd cause even more trouble.
