Alien would get the greenlight because it had one important thing going for it: it was cheap. You can get away with almost anything you want as long as the budget is modest, and I think that is what would have been it's saving grace if the film were to be made today. Now maybe you can argue that it wouldn't have been

A couple other plot beats besides the Working Girl riff seemed to "borrow" from other films:

This looks like Halo: Battlestar Galactica.

Why won't they just give us what I know we've all been desperately wanting? Another season of My Own Worst Enemy, C. Slate's finest hour (or 9, if you count all the episodes that aired).

That's a fair point. And I think the modular flexibility of building out personalized bundles of streaming subscriptions (provided STARZ, showtime, Cinemax end up playing ball too), along with the on-demand perks you mentioned, will add a lot more value to this model, even if it comes out to roughly the same price as

What's up with all these skinny kids playing The Flash? Don't get me wrong, I really like Grant Gustin on The Flash TV series, but him and this guy are scrawny... and look very young. I'm not making a dig on their acting chops, but they just don't fit the physical mold I have in my mind for The Flash, as he's

Do you mean the last Star Trek film with the original cast? Because there were several Star Trek films post-1991 and pre-reboot.

The man is a God damned American Hero.

Maybe I'm missing something, but why wouldn't cell networks jump at this opportunity? For a relatively mild investment in infrastructure to support it, it will offload a tremendous amount of traffic from the cell network, thus improving availability and reducing the need to build out more capacity, especially in urban

What I find more interesting about the Atlas Shrugged film trilogy, is that all of the main characters were re-cast each with each subsequent film. It's like everyone involved realized what a piece of shit they were in and refused to return for the next one. I've never seen anything like it.

I'm sorry, this sounds like complete bullshit and pure conjecture to hype up selling CryptoPhone 500.

The design was cool, but let's talk about that jazzy revamp of the them song. That was awesome.

Answer: Yes. Tim Burton's Batman proved this in 1989.

Ahhh, the stars. Miss those. You had to earn your right to comment without approval. The good ol' days.

Your format is probably correct. But I bet, instead of different criminals each week, the series will follow the hunt for one serial killer. Each episode will have the pre-cogs having a vision of a new murder, which Pre-crime will rush to stop (it would be interesting to have the fail occasionally). The visions will

It's delicious. You should keep eating it.

Interesting. I suffer from auto-immune disorder that requires periodic treatment with coritcosteroids (Prednisone). I've noticed that when I'm on a cycle, I don't really get hangovers if I drink. I had always chalked that up to the fact that they cause you to retain water, so I wasn't dehydrating myself like I

Haven't seen the direct-to-DVD movie, but you're right, you can (and they have) screwed around with the universe plenty. So I don't look at it as this sacred thing that can't be touched. It's already been fucked around with so much, why not just reboot it?

I disagree on Highlander. It has already had multiple iterations, multiple shitty sequels, multiple retcons, and multiple internal inconsistencies that I would argue that the series is fucking ripe for a reboot. Take the best of oeuvre, discard the rest, and off you go. I would welcome it.
